"Mm. Neither am I."
"Mm. Neither am I."
"Uh we should talk about something else. I'm getting a feeling that we are going to ask each other about our past and that isn't a good idea." Harper glances at Runner. she starts thinking about how he was so rude but so kind, and…cute.
A girl flying above with golden dragon wings swoops down and playfully ruffles Runner's hair, smiling.
Theresa: "Someone's getting a little snippy. PMS-ing, are we?"
"Uh we should talk about something else. I'm getting a feeling that we are going to ask each other about our past and that isn't a good idea." Harper glances at Runner. she starts thinking about how he was so rude but so kind, and…cute.
"We agree"
Sakuya swerved as land came closer into view. That meant the heated passengers would be able to rest on land and she wouldn't need to worry about blood being spilt upon her scales. She did try to keep clean for the most part.
"I will take you to a small area I usually go to when I head to the village. Slightly remote, but a place where I can shift without the prying eyes of the villagers to see me."
Her eyes shifted upwards, hearing the sound of beating wings. A rumble came from her, noticing the golden wings. At first, Sakuya nearly bowed her head, but the scent wasn't right…but another golden dragon? No, there had to be more to the story…perhaps from a different area, but then that made no sense to the deep sea dragon. She truly did live a sheltered life beneath the waves…
"Once I'm in my human form, I'll take you to Hydrox."
The girl noticed the sea dragon's attention and smiled kindly, offering a small wave. "Ello. Only'll be here for a bit. Don't mind me."
He looked at Tessie with tired eyes. "You have no idea." He did seem happy to see her, though
She grinned at him and carefully landed on the sea dragon's back, folding her wings neatly behind her own. "I actually was looking for you," she said to Runner, tilting her head curiously at the others with him. "Am I interrupting something?"
"Who are you?" Hyenros asked the winged being
"No," he said emphatically.
Aléros raised an eyebrow and tried not to laugh
((Runner's actually pretty nice, but you gotta understand the circumstances here
Tessa bowed dramatically, flaring her wings and grinning at the twins, exposing her sharp canines. "Theresa Hunt, half-human sun-dragon-shapeshifter demigod, at your service." She turned to Runner. "There was something bugging me since we first met, and I thought I might as well ask you before I drive myself insane. Gods know how much I drive Cin insane–don't need me doing the same to myself. Do you mind?" She added, just in case he was in a no-questions-asked kind of mood.
"How important is this? And can you get me the hell up out of here?"
She bobbed her head side to side. "Eh, not very. Just satisfying my own curiosity." She addressed his situation with an amused smirk. "And do you really need saving? You're always complaining others are fighting your battles. This is the perfect opportunity for just that." She waggled a finger. "Wouldn't want a big strong man to be rescued by a girl."
"Never claimed to be big, nor strong. There would be no shame from me, despite you best efforts to squeeze it out."
She pouted, falling on her butt and crossing her legs. "Aw. You're ruining my fun. And you haven't said if I'm allowed to ask my question."
"Sure, yeah, you can."
"Kay, cool." She clasped her hands together and pointed them at Runner, as serious now. "Are you from Earth, and, if so, what state? You speak English, so you're obviously from good ol' 'Merica if you are an Earthling."
"I told you this, the earliest thing I remember was running from something in Charleston, South Carolina. I mean," he said, looking down at his hands. "I look human, albeit a little ugly. Doesn't make me an alien, though, right?"
She blinked. "Huh. First of all," she gave him a stern look. "You're gorgeous, dude. Secondly, humans aren't only on Earth, that's why I was asking. Thirdly…" She awkwardly scratched the back of her head as she looked away. "I might have stolen what little you had when I was little. At least, whatever was useful." She glanced up sheepishly. "Do you recall a dirty little girl, about yay high, knocking into you, apologizing way more than she should have, and then taking off?"
He frowned. "…I…hm…Tell me what you took." ((Be super dramatic and have her have it with her
(Lol, okay. I'll try.)
She rolled her eyes. "I said might, not that I actually did. However…" She trailed off and got a look on her face that said trouble. "There was fifteen quarters in you left coat pocket, along with a note that said 'Don't spend it all at once'. Uh… a pretty cheap ring in your other coat pocket, a granola bar, two unopened pieces of bubblegum–ew, by the way–and a small hand-carved wooden toy tiger. In your back pockets were scribbled maps of the city aaand thirty bucks in fives."
She reached into her coat and pulled out the note, ring, tiger, and maps. "I spent the money, traded the gum, and ate the granola bar." She shrugged. "A runaway foster girl's gotta eat, y'know?"
He scratched the side of his face, looking at the stuff with a confused expression.
"Er… was it not you? I thought you looked kinda familiar when we met, and that kid was the first thing I thought of…" She shifted uneasily. "I would've been… uh… 'round 11 I think. Yeah. It was a year before–" She stopped herself before she revealed a secret he shouldn't know. "Around eight years ago." (Tess is two years older than Runner, I checked their ages)
