He rubbed his face as he watched her work. Pretty simple manipulation, but the simple things are typically the most powerful types of magics. "Did you say that was my box?"

"I'm not sure who's it is. Could be yours. Were you friends with the captain? Know of any life saving objects?"
He looked a little frustrated. "I don't know I told you, I have no clue how i got here. I just woke up 7 meters under the fucking water 15 minutes ago."
She frowned. "Here's what I know. We were on a ship. The ship started sinking. We didn't have enough life boats, so a bunch of decided to just swim. The captain told us to take the box and that it would help us. But not why or what it was. We swam for a while, but it started getting dark, and people got tired. Most of them fell behind and I assume they drowned. Now we're here. You went underwater right after I panicked and set the box on fire. And then we had this conversation." She scratched her nose. "What do we do now?"
"Well, this dragon I'm on is saying there's water nearby. I think it's asleep, though."
The beast rose her head, looking around, listening intently. Her blue eyes glanced towards the sky, knowing very well day could be approaching. Not that there was anything wrong with daylight, it was just extremely hard on her sensitive eyes. The dragon's nostrils flared, taking in the scents. There were still survivors?
As if to confirm, another figure soon came swimming into view. She was completely silent as the pair started speaking. Names were spoken, she mentally writing them down. The dragon could sense another pair that wasn't part of the beasts of the deep. A rumble emitted from her, the gentle pulsing from her body seeming to be a soft beacon to any who still were swimming and struggling through the waves.
The dragon's turned her attention back to the one who called himself Runner, "I did perhaps doze off…The air above the ways is different than beneath."
The griff that covered her earholes had folded up, spines now flat against her back, "There is indeed land nearby. I can carry you there if you wish. I have a friend there who could be of perhaps aid to you…"
"That would be great." Sensing the griff might not be comfortable with someone like her on its back, and not entirely comfortable with the idea herself, she added, "I'll swim."
(ahh dragon not griff sorry)
((OOC: It's all good, the griff is part of a dragon, in my world. Where the earholes of most dragons are have a frill-like appendage on each side that it can fold and unfold. Despite the flexibility and appearance, the griff is quite strong, hence protecting the earholes that can prove to be weaker parts of dragons))
The dragon looked back to the girl. She tilted her head, but straightened again. Her voice was soft, "O-oh…it's alright for you to stay on my back. It is most likely safer for you. Most humans, or humanoid creatures I've noticed before can't really stay too long in the water. I've watched before men tire and eventually drown…"
She probably sounded a bit morbid, but despite the blunt response, it was true. The beast had watched before such events pass. Usually having swimming below in the dark depths, hearing the usual whispers running through the currents by creatures of the waters.
"The land is quite far, though it shouldn't take too long with my speed."
"Thanks. I'll try not to set anyone on fire." Was that as awkward as it sounded? Probably. Ah well, too late. "Should we wait to see if there's anyone else still–um–alive?"
He shook his head, looking grim. "There aren't anymore. I feel…nothing else."
"Alrighty then. Let's go," she replied with a similar look.
He sighed, letting his head hang. "Why do I have a feeling things will only get weirder today…?"
The dragon gave a nod as she heard the pair. Her head turned to face forward again. The beast's front legs started to paddle forward, the waves lapping gently against her sides. Her body swayed slowly back and forth, her back legs continuing to help her movement.
As she swam, she was careful to keep part of her body above the water, so her passengers could rest without fear of the water overlapping and washing them from their perches.
"I never did say my name. I heard your names, Alex and Runner if I am correct? Sakuya is what I am called."
"Well, thank you. You saved our asses back there."
"No, she saved your ass. I was fine. But thank you, Sakuya," she added, not wanting to sound ungrateful. "It would've taken me a long time to find land on my own. Not that I couldn't have done it. I'm perfectly capable of doing many things." She looked pointedly at Runner. She didn't like people questioning her, even inadvertently, and she was finding that her twin made up for more of her tactlessness than they thought. She would have to make a larger effort. (OOC: I apologize for my character. I find she's not usually nice)
He looked at her with bored eyes. "You would've been dead in 3 days. Your magic doesn't work in water, and there was blood. With blood comes sharks."
((Right back at you lmao
"At least I didn't almost drown," she snapped. "I still have my memories. If Sakuya hadn't shown up, you probably would've just wandered around trying to figure out what the hell happened to you and died in the process!" This guy was seriously getting on her nerves, but she took a deep breath and silently vowed to be polite. "Do you remember anything yet?" There was only a hint of snark in her voice now.
"Nope. Kinda surprised. I'm sure I'd remember that mouth." ((I'm sorry
"Plus, I didn't light a fucking ship on fire, so that's the tea."
((I'm really sorry
She decided to take that as a compliment. "Comes with the territory. We should decide what the captain meant with the box. What's the last thing you remember? Do you remember anything about the ship at all? Getting on it maybe?" ((Wow she's going to end up cursing like a sailor when she grows up oh no I should fix that
The beast gave a nod. A soft prrum came from her. Sakuya was happy to know that she was some help. She continued to swim along, the soft bioluminescence glow of her form calming. The sails along her back remained flat, relaxed. There was no immediate danger, the only other danger she having to worry about was other more hostile water dragons or serpents. Sakuya knew not many were as welcoming to man, though she was completely wary, her crippled leg a reminder of that accident.
She appeared ready to open her muzzle, but then grew quiet again. The dragon simply continued to make her way, though slowing down slightly, as her crippled leg was starting to act up a bit.
((OOC: I must take my leave for a bit. Need to haul one of my goats to the vet here))
He decided to just ignore her, staring straight ahead. He didn't feel like being berated with questions, especially from someone with that nasty of an attitude.
