@bubblegum
(Aw)
Zach tilted his head at him, standing up and shaking his cloud-soft fur. It’s fine, it’s fine… He whined. Believe me, I’ll try to help you, I really will.

Zach tilted his head at him, standing up and shaking his cloud-soft fur. It’s fine, it’s fine… He whined. Believe me, I’ll try to help you, I really will.
Felix heard the entire thought. And it scared him. Because 1) Zach couldn’t help him. He would run away if Felix ever told him that he could read minds. No one wanted someone who knew your every thought around, did they? No. And 2) he didn’t want to be trusted. He had no people skills whatsoever. People didn’t like him and he didn’t like people. Thinking that that would change? Scary.
”Well, I should be going,” he said. ”Thank you for everything. I won’t bother you anymore now.” He looked down to the ground. I want to bother him more. I want to bother this perfect human being forever. Zach was so nice to him. And cute. Definetly cute. And he was different, just like Felix.
Zach lowered his ears at Felix’s response, sitting down. I don’t want him to leave - we seem to be traveling the same way - but you know you have to let him leave if he wants to. With that, Zach let out a low whine and trotted back towards the forest.
Felix sighed as he watched Zach walk back to the forrest. He didn’t want to leave. He didn’t want Zach to leave either. But this relationship could never end well and he knew it. He got back into his car, wiped away his tears and started driving.
(Should we skip right to the scene at the next hotel?)
(yeah that's fine, felix calls zach right?)
(Yup!)
(okay lol)
Zach hummed lightly to himself as he stood underneath the hotel awning. He was worried about Felix. What was he crying about yesterday? And how on earth could Zach help him?
He fiddled with the gray ribbon on his wrist, looking out onto the highway.
It was close now. Felix could see the hotel ahead. He blasted music from the car stereos, way higher than he probably should. It helped. It helped with everything, the panic, the nervosity, all his thought… everything. Right now Takida sang about being better to someone on full volume in the car. Felix took off the highway and drove into the parking lot.
(wait so they're at different hotels right and then felix calls)
(sorry I'm confused)
(Yeah exactly)
(Okay)
Zach ran a freckled arm through his hair, sighing. He kind of wished Felix would call him, but he knew it was wishful thinking - they were both on the run, after all.
Felix sat on his bed in the hotel room, holding his phone in front of him. His hands were shaking of nervosity. The screen showed Zach’s contact, and all he had to do was click the button. But somehow… even that simple move was hard.
Eventually he took a deep breath and called the number. He waited as the signals passed.
Zach felt his phone ring in his pocket, with Felix’s name on the screen. He started in surprise and hurriedly picked up.
“Yeah?”
”Hey.” Felix wasn’t really sure on how to start. He had never called a hot boy for no particular reason before. ”Are you busy at the moment?”
“No…why?” Zach’s heart was beating in his chest and he tried to keep his voice steady.
”I don’t know…” Felix tried to make his voice sound natural. It was a failed mission from the start. ”I guess I just got bored. Where- um… where are you right now?”
“Another hotel. Holiday Inn or something. Mediocre,” He attempted to joke.
”Oh. Okay.” Felix had no idea whatsoever what to say next. His mouth felt dry. All he could think of was the sweet sound of Zach’s voice. He wondered what he looked like right now. Was he sitting on his bed, just like Felix? Was his hair as fluffy as before? Did Zach smile when thinking about him? When talking to him? Felix felt like he was about to say something stupid, cause that always happened when he was nervous.
“Are you okay?” Zach asked, shifting his weight.
”Yeah, yeah, I’m fine… I just wondered… No. It’s stupid. Never mind.” Felix blushed and hated himself a bit for not being able to finish that sentence.
(sorry my phone died)
"No, no, you're fine. You were saying?"
(Ah, it’s fine)
”Do you… do you wanna come over to my hotel? I mean, we are both on the run and it didn’t seem like you had anywhere special to go, so…” Felix said it quietly, as if that would make it less awkward.
"Um, yeah! Yeah, that's be great. Where is it again?" Zach's heartbeat was ecastic now, and he tried to mask it over the phone.
(can felix read thoughts over the phone, or is there a distance/time limit to it?)
(There’s a distance limit, I think)
(Also you can ignore that adress lol I have no idea)
”Oh, um… it’s on highway 54. Next to a supermarket.” Felix couldn’t help but to smile like a maniac as he gave the descriptions to Zach.
