@Oakiin
"Fair, I guess," Rig said with a shrug.
"Fair, I guess," Rig said with a shrug.
"So, if you could control one, would you rather control fire, earth, wind, or water, and why?"
Vozreal questioned. Midday.
"Huh." Rig pondered for a moment. "Earth, I guess. It seems the most useful, since you can…I dunno, throw rocks at people? What about you?"
"Fire for me. I like to burn stuff. That need to be burned, of course. And besides, it fits me. If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead, who would it be?"
"Okay, see now you're just being ridiculous," Rig teased, laughing. "Where the hell are you getting these from?"
"I'm thinking them up! Its as if a higher being is telling me to say it…" Vozreal said, casually breaking an imaginary 4th wall.
"Welp, that seems a little weird, but to be fair you're also a little weird, no offense. I'd eat with my family. Haven't seen them in ages." A slightly wistful look crossed his face, then he shook it off. "How bout you?"
"My girlfriend Satan herself. Shes a very nice woman once you get to know her," Vozreal said, "now you ask me a question!"
"Ahhh you're testing my limited capabilities," Rig said. "But sure. What matters more to you: People being impressed or enamored with you, or knowing yourself?"
"Knowing myself, what about you?" Vozreal asked.
"Yeah. Couldn't really give a damn about what others think."
"So, you hungry?"
"Ehhh, I guess. You got food?"
"No, but I see a town ahead of us. Maybe two miles from here? I'll pay! No homo though…"
"You're so confusing," Rig said, shaking his head. "But sure, I ain't gonna turn down a free meal."
They got to the town. There was a restaurant, which was called The Hungry Sailor. They went in and ordered something. They ate and such, then Vozreal paid and they went on their merry little way.
Rig was quiet as they headed out again, taking point this time as they carried on down the road. He rode Celine on a loose rein, letting the gelding pick his own way down the paths.
They carried on until it was almost night. 8:54 pm to be exact.
They came into a town with a proper inn. They got 2 separate rooms and got dinner. It was okay. Not mind blowing, but not terrible either. They went to bed at around 10:30-11:00 pm.
(The next morning, 7:20 pm.)
"Top of morning," Vozreal said.
"Hey," Rig said, shifting in his usual manner, cracking out his bones. I should probably learn to like a bed, he grimaced to himself. No longer as young and bouncy as he once had been, sleeping on the cold, rocky ground was starting to put a strain on his aches and pains.
"You should really starting sleeping on beds," Vozreal said, "anyways, ready?"
"When they start putting beds outside, then we can talk," Rig said with a grin. "Yeah, let's get outta here."
They got on their horses and left.
"You should ask me some questions since I asked them yesterday!"
"Ahh, pal, I ain't good at that kinda stuff," Rig said. "Don't you think we should be talking about this problem we're on our way to solve?"
"True… True… So what do you think we should do?"
Vozreal asked.
"Well, you seem to know more about this idiot than I do, why don't you tell me about him and his guys?" Rig said.
