Simple High School Roleplay in which I teach you the basics and you can practice with my non-judgemental way-to-sweet-for-my-own-good self! Anyone can join at anytime.

Okay, this might be a tad awkward. I'm gonna just let it all out. I've got a few different personalities that I switch between when i'm talking to different people. For instance: My better side: I'll do my best to rp and hang with you AWESOME people (lookin at you @PunsAndShips), while my other side does NOT like rp at all and wouldn't even think to try it. Because i'm horribly foolish and cannot problem solve or come up with ANY creative ideas. The one thing I do is game. It's what I grew up with. I have no friends, so I gotta have fun somehow. I have no idea how to create an rp character or anything like that. I know you guys would probably like to help, but what do I gain from that? I'd like to spend a little time creating a character on my own. Like my whole life. Once a loner, always a loner. Nobody's been there, so i've got nobody to trust or rely on. (Except maybe @MonocarpicCathartic, they are cool). I'll be doing things by myself, but I'll do my best to choke down my sad side and bring out the best in me. But if you nick me the wrong way, it's gonna get toxic. Sorry if I'm a jerk and you guys don't like my personality. No offense taken, I'm used to it. Bring the pain.

Name: Jensen Evans
Age: 17 (senior)
Gender: Male
Looks: Shoulder-length, moderately curly, dark brown hair that he usually keeps tied back in a messy bun. He has warm brown eyes (which can be deceiving), freckles, dimples—the whole package. His fashion sense is…unpredictable, to say the least, and he rarely wears the same thing twice in a month. He stands at about 6'2 and weighs around 160 lbs, with long limbs and a lean frame.
Personality: A total chaotic neutral. Jensen does whatever Jensen wants, whenever Jensen wants. Jensen does not talk about himself in the third person. He's also incredible at manipulating people into doing what he wants, for good or for bad, as well as getting to the bottom of any story he's motivated enough to investigate.
Backstory: His dad is a total absentee, a fact that Jensen could care less about, considering what little he remembers of the man. A drunk, loud and disgusting, in his not-so-humble opinion. His mom is rarely home, but they have a pretty solid relationship in spite of this, being each others only real immediate family, since Jensen is an only child. Overall, the teen had a pretty stable childhood, full of nannies he helped fire, unplanned trips for ice cream and refusing to join any sports teams. He is, however, a part of the school's newspaper club—the leader, actually—, the poetry club and the debate club.

Other: He works a part-time job for the local newspaper, writing articles or taking pictures in his free time. He's a freelance photographer and artist, and he does commissions for anyone who asks (as long as he's got the time). He tends to charge people he doesn't like more than people he does, however. He wants to go to an art college and major in art and fashion, although beyond that, he's content with his current occupations.

Ey, I know for a fact that you have friends (although I don't know them well enough personally to know if they're good friends), and you have a great personality! Social anxiety and depression suck and make us think otherwise, but take it from someone who sees you nearly every day—you're awesome! Otherwise I wouldn't text you as much as I do or hang out with you as much as I do.

As for what you have to gain from it, maybe new friends? A developed interest in rp or, more vaguely, literature/writing? No one's forcing you to be involved in this, though—you can back out, if you want. I just tagged you to see if you were interested at all.

And for the different sides, dude, I get it—and I doubt I'm the only one.

Name: Nicolas Ninaki
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Looks: Tall, average weight, pretty fit, black hair with a small yellow highlight on the front, light skin, always wears joggers and an unzipped jacket with some type of band merch underneath. He's also got yellowish eyes.
Personality: Heavy introvert, loves to listen to music, doesn't like to talk to people who give him a bad feeling, easily disturbed and cries relentlessly, but appears brave when confronted with danger and tries to act differently than who he really is to make friends and appeal to people. Trusts no one.
Backstory: Nico's parents divorced at around the age of two. He lived a troubled young life as he came to realize he didn't fit in with anyone at all. People disliked him and Nico never found his calling on what he liked to do. He wanted to become fit so he could impress people, but was overwhelmed with difficulty as he knew it wouldn't happen. Nico was hit repeatedly by many people who took him for a fool. Nico did well in school as that was the only thing he could derive any feeling from. Depression overtook Nico as the years went by. This was when he knew he had to change things up. He had heard a saying that read, "Why try to fit in when you were born to stand out?" Nico despised this saying as he realized it wasn't true at all, at least in his case. Nico did not want to talk to anyone. What little friends he had weren't good friends and still hurt him and called him names that caught on wherever he went. Nico took up martial arts to try to get better at fighting in case of an emergency, and knew the health benefits would make him happier. While he was correct, he didn't become much happier. The cause of this was when he witnessed the brutal murder of his own mother with his own, special yellow eyes. He stood in awe of how fragile the human body was as his precious mother, the only thing he had left, was shredded to pieces by two thiefs wielding buzzsaws trying to steal valuables from his humble home. Everything he knew, gone. In an instant. He could not call police. He could not cry. All he could do was stand. Stand in horror as the thieves left his home with his now ripped up mothers jewelry. Nico did not eat for a week as he curled up and cried for what felt like an eternity after police came to his house shortly after the murder. He refused to do anything as he was taken to a mental institution for counselling and rehabilitation. After nine months of rehab, Nico started his first year at high school. His mental fuse of rage became so incredibly small. Nico knew he could not take any more pain, but he had to clean up his act or the rest of his school years would be just as they had before. Nico started to make some friends, sweeping his rage, depression, and anxiety under an ever growing rug of despair.

@Spork Ahhhh I see what you did there with his name! Very interesting backstory, and I cringed a little at the buzzsaws part (just because of gore), but he's beautifully traumatized. Petition to make our character's friends later on? Though you know Jensen's gonna call him "Nico Ni" teasingly at least once, right? xp
