Kissa stares at the car as Gabriel trudges over to it, still invisible. She glares, but follows. "How are my wings supposed to fit?!" She angrily whispers to Gabriel.
He rolls his eyes. "Aw gee, too bad they don't have a car for winged people. Cause they totally make those." He whispers back.
She growls lowly, but climbs in the car anyways and scrunches her wings up best she can.
Violet takes Ben's hand. "Let's get out of here. They're probably looking for them."
He rubs his forehead, then nods, returning to the drivers seat.
I'm going to regret this later.
Silver heard Kissa griping and climbed up to look over the back seat. "Hey, if I can fit back here, you can fit in the seat. Don't fuss like that when Ben can hear."
Miki turned around enough to look at Silver and mouthed silently "He talks?" pointing toward where Gabriel's voice had come from.
Gabriel sits in his seat, shaking his head at Kissa and folding his wings around him.
Cage stares at Gabriel's seat, not seeing him, but still surprised he heard his voice. Wooooahh
Ben inhales and starts the car, turning around and speeding the other way.
"Shh!" Silver hissed at Cage and Miki, way too loud to be discrete. "Don't say anything!" she mouthed, waving a hand in a 'stop' motion.
Cage turns around, smiling. "So cool." He whispers.
(PERMISSION FOR MORE TIME SKIP)
(yes let's skip back to the house)
(Alright, Rocky you can post and then we'll do a skip to the house :))
Cage leans over to Leo, whispering excitedly. "This is gonna be great!"
(It’s fine, sorry for missing a bunch)
Leo answered him in a whisper “yeah!”
(It’s a bummer but it’s okay)(Hey Rocky, we were thinking about bringing this RP to a close super soon. Does that sound okay to you? Like for us to go ahead and end it this week sometime?)
(OKAY TIME SKIP TWO HOURS, THEY ARE AT THE HOUSE)
(It's probably like 3pm now.)(Because when Silver got to the bad place it was early in the morning.)(Maybe even like 4)
Ben pulls the car up to the farm house, stares blankly at it for a moment, then turns off the car.
Cage unbuckles, climbing out and stretching. "Are we-" He turns to look over the house then goes back to the car, standing by Ben's Window. "Are we going to live here now..?"
Ben shakes his head, unbuckling and getting out. "Cage, we're literally 2 hours from their facility. No."
Cage smiles, "Ah, okay. Good."
Kissa wiggles out of the car, stretching her wings fulls span behind her.
"Augh, I hate cars."
Ben stares at her large wings as they spread above her, somewhat in awe as they cover the sun, leaving him in their cold shade.
She smirks, lowering them and walking past him.
Violet climbs out, slowly opening the trunk for Silver.
Silver unfolded herself from the back and came around to the side of the van that she knew Gabriel was on.
"Gabe?" she said. "You can… you can come out now. Violet needs to see you if she's gonna fix you up."
Miki climbed out after the boys and hauled her backpack back into the house.
Kissa stares at Silver for a minute, then looks in the car. "He probably fell asleep." She shrugs. "I'll wake him."
Violet creases her brow. "He can stay invisible while sleeping?"
"Uh, yeah. He basically trained himself to be invisible if he's asleep." She says, heading over to his side of the car and opening the door. She feels around for a moment, till she finds his arm and yaks it, knocking him off balance.
He reappears, gasping and grabbing the arm of the chair so he doesn't fall. Kissa smiles.
"Flower here needs to clean your wounds."
Violet looks over Kissa, confused.
What?
"KISSA!" Silver yelled, mouth agape. She stood frozen for a moment, staring at her and Gabe, and then took a step toward the girl and gave her a rough shove. "Don't DO THAT to him!" Before Kissa could retaliate, Silver threw up a wall between them and turned back to Gabe, gently touching his arm and beckoning him to get out of the car. "Come on, Gabriel. We're here now. At the house we're staying at, I guess. It's different than the other one. Let's go inside so Violet can patch you up."
Kissa glares. "Geez." Then turns around and walks towards the house, her arms crossed. Ben still stands by his door and stares, a grin threatening to cross his lips. Violet looks up to him and mouths "no".
Gabriel slowly stands, watching Kiss leave and walk to the house, angrily pulling her fluffy wings through the door.
Violet smiles at him. "I'm Violet Parks. I can help."
He swallows, trying his best to resist the urge to go invisible again.
Silver slipped her hand into his, fingers woven together, and gently tugged him toward the house. "It's okay. You can find a quiet place to hide after Violet has fixed you. It's okay." She motioned to Violet to go ahead of them.
Violet goes ahead, walking around the car and grabbing Ben's arm. "C'mon." She whispers.
Gabriel willingly walks with Silver, His black wings folded behind him. "Did…" His already quiet voice trails off.
Augh, Gabriel.
Just talk.
"Are you okay?" He asks quietly, his words barely loud enough to hear.
She looked up at him as they reached the door and she pushed it open. Her throat throbbed with that pain that comes right before tears but she swallowed it away and nodded. "Yeah. I'm good. Let's worry about you right now." she forced a smile.
Gabe tilts his head. "I'm not worried about me." He stares for a moment.
Finish what you were going to say.
stop just staring
"You ran into a car." He quietly states. "Are you okay?"
"I–oh." she blinked. "Yeah, I'm… I'm fine. I might be sore tomorrow. I'll probably be really sore tomorrow, but I'm okay right now." she tried to smile for him again and lead him in the kitchen table. "Vi?" she called.
Gabriel sits at the kitchen table, still resisting the urge to turn invisible as Kiss glared at him across the room. Cage smiles and waves to him, but them turns to talk to Leo and Shadow.
Violet follows Sil and Gabriel to the table. "Alrighty, Gabriel. Let's check these out and see if they're alright."
Ben leans against the wall, looking to Sil and waiting to catch her eye. He turns down the hallway.
I shouldn't yell at her.
Maybe I should.
She keeps making the same stupid choices.
Silver sat next to Gabe, out of Violet's way, but close enough to keep holding his hand, as if her touch would keep him visible. She could practically feel Ben's gaze on her, but she told herself to focus on Gabe first. She would go let Ben yell at her once Gabe was okay.
Violet pulls her bag up to her lap and pulls out a stretchy bandage (the long thing) along with some peroxide and creams and a pair of tweezers. "This might hurt a little, Love, but it'll be over soon."
He doesn't answer, zoning out and looking into the nothingness of the wall.
Silver watched for a few moments to make sure Gabriel was okay, and Violet didn't need help, then stood up and pressed a quick kiss on Gabe's temple. Ben had disappeared down the hallway and she followed him, peeking into each room to find him.
Having relocated to a small bedroom that branches off of the hallway, Ben looks around. Pale light filters through the white fabric curtains, giving the Playroom a somewhat eerie feel. His eye catches sight of a small story book on a shelf and he picks it up, flipping through its pages though his mind is elsewhere.
What am I going to do with all these kids.
I don’t have a house for them yet.
We need to go far enough away that they can’t find us.
