(Um, Silver is very scary)(especially to Gabe who is an abused, confused and introverted boi)(XD)(Ben's gonna be so mad if you bring him home)
He shoves goes to shove away, tu creases his eyebrows together and stays still.
She'll hurt you once she knows who you work for.
I have to get her back to them.
…Why don't I wait?
Wait until she trusts me.
He let's out a shaky sigh.
I can do this.
(for everyone's info, this is the first mission he's been on, and he's freaking out)
(NUUU WHY IS HE BEING SNEAKY) (if he betrays Silver, she'll beat the tar out of him)
Silver gently lifted his head off her shoulder and wiped the tear stain off his cheek, resting her hands on his arms as she studied his face. "What's wrong?"
(Lisa)(he's a bad guy XD)
I'll let them know it will take longer, but I might be able to bring them more.
He stares into her eyes, his face displaying only confusion rather than emotion.
They wont trust me. They'll send in someone to watch me.
Silver let out a little laugh and rolled her eyes. "Okay, fine. Let's go for a fly and you can teach me stuff. Does that sound better?"
(inner conflict-ion)(btw! It's probably time for her to head home??)
It's like… 7pm
"I-I uh…"
Just leave her and come back later. You shouldn't have said you'd teach her anyways.
"Ummn…. Sure?"
(Silver doesn't care about going home right now XD and she won't just leave him. He's gonna have to slip away or run away for her to decide to go home, or she'll just stay out and fly with him all night XD)
"Great!" She leapt to her feet and reached a hand down to help him up. "Let's go."
(oki XD)
He stands on his own, not touching her hand. (he's prolly not used to that gesture)
He flares his wings out, full span, behind him and stares up at the sky.
Don't do it. How would you be able to teach her? Ten minutes up there and you'll fall.
You're going to kill yourself.
He turns his head against the wind to look at her.
Say something
"Have you practiced take off?"
Even if she has, she's terrible at it. Did you see her earlier?
Silver's eyes lit up as his wings came into view. She started at them with an awe-struck smile until he started talking.
I knew you could talk, you dumb.
"Aahhh, sort of? I mean, I know how to." She stretched her wings out and ran off a few strides, beating her wings until she lifted off the ground and then circled back to him. "That's usually kind of what I do."
That was… Horrific. Terrible. Oh man.
He crouches down and leaps into the air, his wings catching the wings and launching him upwards, much higher than her. To stay in place he beats his wings once or twice every few moments.
He looks down to her.
Silver frowned as she lowered herself back down to the sand. "I don't know if I can do that. Your wings are a lot bigger than mine." She positioned herself in the sand, feet placed apart, and crouched like he had, wings arched and ready above her. "I'll try." She jumped and beat her wings at the same time, gaining a little bit of height, but dipping back down each time she lifted her wings for another pump. She touched back down to the ground a few times and each time, crouched and launched herself again. After a few tries she finally remained in the air and fought her way straight up to hover in front of him.
That was pretty bad.
He looks over her wings, feathery and small. Well, smaller than his.
His wings could grip the air, hold it underneath them. They didn't have feathers. Maybe something else would work?
How does Kissa do it?
"I- I think maybe…" He trails off, looking down at the ground below them.
JUst. TAlk.
"Your wings are different than mine, you'll need a different take off method."
you're so quiet. Can she even hear you??
Silver couldn't quite catch his words, but she grabbed the air around them and pulled it to her ears in time to understand. "Maybe? What else would you suggest?" She kept beating her wings to try and stay in front of him, but she bounced and dipped all around. "You can probably do anything cuz your wings are like ten times bigger than mine." She tipped her head to the side as an idea occurred to her. "How do you know so much about flying? Are there others like us?" her voice rose as the idea excited her. "Is there someone who teaches people like us how to fly?"
wow. She might just come with you. Just tell her there's cookies too or something
He clears his throat a bit.
speak up
"If- if you're observant, you can learn from the birds."
Gabriel, what?!? You could've brought her in so easily!
(the poor dear fighting with himself)
"Ohh, that's a good idea." She glanced around, but the night was too dark to see much and there wouldn't have been any birds around anyway. "I've never had a chance to watch them cuz I'm always hiding." She let out a heavy sigh that could have held the weight of the world. "You know so much more than me. How have you not been caught? Don't you have to hide too?"
I-I just.
His wings disappear behind him and he tilts his head to one side.
"I can teach you. You wont have to hide." His voice is quiet, and not as scratchy as before.
GABRIEL PIERCE
CATCH THE GIRL NOT HELP HER
Her face lit up again and she reached forward and grabbed his hands. "Really? I would love that. Obviously I've been doing everything wrong, cuz we're all focused on just surviving and not getting caught." she gasped at his wings disappearing. "Whoa, you can fly when they're invisible? How do you do that?"
Ummn, it's easy?
His wings reappear, but only slightly, being see-able but transparent.
"If you have the air element, you should be able to do it."
IF SHE'S INVISIBLE YOU CAN'T SEE HER SHE'LL GET AWAY.
"Focus…. Focus on being gone. It's easiest to do your whole body."
STOP
She frowned, blinking in concentration as she tuned her senses into her own body. Since breaking through with her new skill, she'd never actually used it on herself, to notice things in herself. She'd always used it or felt it surrounding other people. Slowly she tuned into every cell of her body. She tried to imagine not being seen, being transparent, hiding in plan sight.
Everything else zoned out; Gabriel, the city, her fight with Ben, the wind in her hair. She went so deep into her own self that everything else was gone. She could feel every cell and molecule in her body and it was the only thing she could feel. Even the thoughts of becoming invisible slipped away until she was only aware of herself.
Gabriel creases his eyebrows together.
Great. Look what you did. Good job.
He sighs quietly and flies back a few paces.
She'll learn. She'll be okay.
Then, in a second, Silver was no longer tuned into her cells but her cells were tuned into everything. Every part of her body could feel the way her heart and her head had for the last two days and she could feel everything. She could feel Ben's house and everyone in it, miles away. The cars and the turbulent air and the laughter on the streets of the city. The fish and the crabs in the bottom of the lake and the thunderstorm half a state away over the horizon.
She could feel everything with every part of her body.
With a gasp she fell out of the air, hitting the sand on her knees and leaning over, her stomach wrenching itself in knots. The tiny organisms in the dirt around her screamed into her consciousness and it was too much, too much, too much. She felt like her cells were being stretched and ripped apart with all the input from the world around her.
thanks a lot, you broke her
Gabriel slowly descends, kneeling beside her. He touches her shoulder with one hand, gripping it a little.
It's okay, Kis- aih, Silver. Silver, geez.
He peaks through his black hair and down at her hair, caught up in the cold wind.
Focus on one thing. You don't need to focus on it all.
For a second his presence overwhelmed her raging consciousness, and then he touched her and everything slowed. Didn't stop. Didn't go away. Just slowed. She still felt everything, but it wasn't all at once. Everything was still there, but it wasn't railing on her to pay attention to each tiny thing. She sorted through all the excess and pushed it away, so she felt it from more of a distance.
She took a deep, shaky breath and her stomach eased it's twisting. Once all the extra stuff was pushed away, she felt Gabriel beside her, his hand on her shoulder, and everything inside him channeling into her.
Fear, confusion, self-doubt, fear, compassion, anxiety, fear, terror, hopelessness, fear.
She gasped again, this time from her own heart taking on everything she felt him consumed with. She shoved herself up and grabbed his arm, gathering up all the darkness and fear inside him and pulling it away, replacing it with a cloud of calm and peace and love and safety. She couldn't make him accept it, but she could smother him with it from all sides.
He sits still, his hand still on her, and stays the same.
Don't. Don't try that please.
He looks up at the night sky and sighs yet again.
I can't take her. Maybe… Maybe I'll bring back the other one. The big one. They've wanted him for a while.
(WHAT IF WE MADE AN APOCALYPTIC RP But from the zombies view and a virus has started turning zombies into humans and they're totally horrified XD)
She could feel his resignation and hopelessness, how he didn't even try to accept her help. Tears welled up in her eyes; it was just so. much. Still trying to pull the sadness away from him, she crawled forward and wrapped her arms around his neck, sobbing into his shoulder. There was something else in him, something he was fighting over, but she was too overwhelmed and exhausted to understand it yet.
