I know I'm like a month early but I've already started planning out some stuff so I can actually finish this year and not give up after a week like last year oof

I might not do ink, but I will use the prompts.
Hey, same here! I think the idea behind it is more about consistent art for a month than everyone having to do ink necessarily.
Are you going to plan it out before or just go for it on the day?
I might just go for it
I'm going to at least try to do it. This is my 3rd or 4th year doing it, I think? But only the second where I'm going to use the prompts.
I'm working full time though this year so I may not end up doing all of them this year. In the past I've usually allowed myself 1 skip day.
I really want to, because I just got ink pens a few months ago and I want to use them.
1 skip day sounds like a healthy idea! Do you guys post your inktober things or is it just a personal challenge?
I've always shared my inktober drawings on DeviantArt ( have a separate folder in my gallery where my inktober drawings live). Last year was the first year where I posted all of them to Instagram as well (It was also the first year where I followed all the prompts). A lot of my friends and family seemed to really like seeing my art, so I'll probably do that again this year.
I kinda do it more as just a personal challenge though. Like, I still like seeing people enjoying my art, but I've always mostly done it as a chance to get out of my rigidly defined comfort zone and draw some things that I wouldn't normally draw. The fact that people seem to like it is just a bonus.
I'd like to try
I definitely want to attempt it. The first time I lasted a week, and last year I got to day 22 but then school caught up with me. This year I want to finish it, now that I realize doing a fully inked and colored page a day is a little ambitious. I'm probably going to do digital though, not traditional.
Since the prompts are out, I’m starting now. My goal is to more consistently do art, not necessarily every day, and to be able to work given prompts into the context of my story as a sort of creativity exercise.
But as I am starting now, I’m only doing sketches and may work on inking/painting/other media through October.
Where do I find the Inktober prompts at? I'd like to do it this year, but I don't know where to find them at.
The official prompt list should come up if you type in “Inktober 2019.” My friend ended up sending me the list personally, though.
Oh ok, thank you very much! :D
(I'm assuming this is it.)
XD that's cool
Ooh, I'm going to alternate between goretober and inktober, just 'cause.
I did Inktober day one, and am finishing goretober day one.
I might try these because I need to get better at art!!
Oooh, goretober sounds fun.
And yeah, Stark. Go for it!
What is Inktober?
It's an art challenge that lasts throughout October, where you draw something every day (so learning to be consistent with art). You can follow the official prompts from the website or just do your own thing.
It's super fun and challenging! usually people do the daily prompt, unless you're me, then you just procrastinate.
Cool, I might do it
