Yeah so I drew a poster sized scene in my stream and finally got a chance to look back at it. It turned out to be really bad, which makes sense as I rushed the planning. So here's me reworking the illustration and I though it might be useful to other people to see my thought process. Sorry for any typos, my spelling is even worse than my hand writing q-q

Overall, the new scene works better cause of the composition. The action is "spread" through the reactions, the poses are more dynamic and unique to each character, and there is less clutter (even though there is technically more detail clutter, it's competing with the characters). Fixing the alignment of everything and making it all sit on the same plane makes it much less distracting, so it's much easier to see the characters. Hopefully this mess helps someone so they don't redraw an entire six character scene like I did >.>
I can continue this with the coloring process too if that's something u guys would be interested in?

this is incredibly helpful!!! as someone who is terrified of composition and who could probably count on one hand the number of times my art has involved more than one person in the same image, this is honestly gold. like just to see what you're looking out for, what elements make it look good, what elements make it look awkward, how to have details without clutter – genuinely this is so helpful.
thank you so much!!
and if you ever feel like adding the colouring process I would probably read it 5 times and try to absorb it into my soul
