Character Backstory: The Paralyzer

The Paralyzer was created on July 16, 2046 by PentaCorp via a combination of the ConPlier and manual construction from various super alloys.

He was born in a time prior to the brainwashing and censorship directed to the Mecharus Race that was commonplace after the 2050s, providing plenty of opportunity for Phobos to develop in an environment that had little to no incentive to foster violent tendencies, as PentaCorp was more interested in rearing the Mecharus into willful servitude.

Of course, this wouldn't prevent any of what Phobos was going to do next, as deep within the circuits that line his mind, a deep fascination with the sensations of fear and terror begun to take root. By now, he had begun to torture non-sapient drones that cared for Phobos' needs via mutilating them and attempting to make them fear him.

Rather than deterring PentaCorp's Executives, they took a keen interest in this Psychopathic Interest, feeding Phobos more Drone Fodder for his 'Hobby' and more disturbingly, providing him with Sapient Test Subjects, on the sole condition that they return alive and functional.

Phobos began his practice of abducting Mecharus, adopting the alias of 'The Paralyzer' around this time, using both Chemicals and Psychic Visions to torment his poor captives. he usually targeted youthful individuals in these kidnappings. This began around a couple weeks after he learned of the fact that he had access to everything he needed and wanted for his experiments, including the pheromones and chemical agents needed to make his Biological, Chemical, and Gaseous Weaponry, as well as further upgrades to his Psychic Cybernetics. After eighteen recorded accounts of him abducting and traumatizing victims, with some even dying in the process, PentaCorp would kick him out of his position as a Controller, revoking his Psionic Powers in the process, fearing the publicity mess that would occur with Transhumanist Groups such as SYMS and News Broadcasters like The Daily Reaper if The Paralyzer's activities were leaked. This majorly angered Phobos, still wrathful from his firing, he proceeded to cause havoc by deploying his OmniPlegia Gas and Phobos Toxin in large doses to crowds of Mecharus, as well as targeting the Executives of PentaCorp, killing 2 with chemicals and 1 with a cybernetic virus that exaggerated his Psychic Illusions to fatal, cardiac arrest-inducing levels, before being captured and placed into surveillance. During this time, he remained resentful at PentaCorp for booting him from Controller Status and his Psychic Dominance whilst keeping those like Monogon and Arach/"Xerxes" as Controllers. When PentaCorp announced that all Mecharus, regardless of Criminal Affairs would be able to join the newly made Alkaline Games, Phobos gleefully joined to practice his Narco-Terror and Fighting Skills, the first 9 Alkaline Games he participated in, he would be very close to winning, only being stopped by those like Overkill, Dreadnaught, and BoneHead, as they had figuratively caved his head in before he had the chance to deploy enough Toxins to register in their massive frames. Eventually, during his 10th Alkaline Games, he would come close yet again, only to encounter the psychotic gourmand aptly named Gourmantis , who had nearly won in his previous 2 Alkaline Games as well. Gourmantis then suddenly sprinted at mad speeds to attack The Paralyzer. With Phobos panicking, he then deployed a high amount of his OmniPlegia Gas. The OmniPlegia Gas proceeded to fulfil its function and paralyze Gourmantis. The Paralyzer, cackling and obviously ecstatic over paralyzing Gourmantis, proceeded to monologue and talk smack to him whilst dumping his active supply of Phobos Toxins onto Gourmantis. Gourmantis was then horrified at the visions and sensations he felt, being deprived of food and succumbing to the terrible fate of starving to death. The equally enraged and unsettled Gourmantis then woke from his paralysis far earlier than The Paralyzer was expecting, and then proceeded to mauled him as Phobos screeched and wailed in horrible, painful agony, mutilating every inch of his body, tearing a massive hole in his waist as well as ripping off his left lower arm and all of his right arm, before Gourmantis chowed down on his right leg, severing it and eating most of it the Knee-Down whole. His withered corpse was then tossed by the satisfied Gourmantis into the nearby vent shaft in the Arena, supposedly killing him.

But this wouldn't be the end for Phobos, barely clinging on to dear life in the Sewer System, he found a crate of "Oil X", a FuelGen made by Oil Jack and then consumed large quantities of it, Oil X was known for being incredibly potent and powerful, activating dormant abilities within a Mecharus or Cyborg that correlates with the Triadae Power Systemae at the caveat that regular consumption would turn users slightly more insane than they already were, turning their appearance into a more banged-up, and dented version of itself, amidst other psychological changes.

Whether this contributed more to his madness than the feeling of bruised-Ego and the Terror that entered his psyche for the first time. It didn't matter, for Phobos had mustered the energy and will to crawl out of the sewers, having fundamentally changed. He had now fully embraced his costume, and ultimately his insanity. Now cackling madly, speaking and constantly obsessing over Fear, with a creepy High-Pitched voice to accentuate his madness and his talking in a grandiose way, now accompanied by his extremely loud voice, boosted by the Oil X permanently, it no longer needs a Microphone to be heard, all this while taking an obvious delight from the suffering, brimstone, and Terror his victims offered him.

Phobos died in the Sewers, and what crawled out was The Paralyzer.

The Paralyzer then proceeded to rebuild his laboratory from the ground-up in the hidden corners of the PentaCorp Sewer System, he figured that PentaCorp must have disposed of his old one thanks to his 'Death', but that wasn't going to stop him, he had lost everything, but now had the will to gain anything, given enough time. The Paralyzer commenced his experiments once more, with him concocting perfected versions of his formulae, but eventually, then he found out that he had a limited version of the Psionic Controller UI that was stripped away from him, with the caveat that he must gain the Serial Number of his victims via physical contact in order to spark his screams. The Paralyzer watched the events after his supposed death with much curiosity, he wanted to know the politics of the World, after all, in 28 Years, much would change. After he mustered up enough courage to finally began targeting Mecharus again from his Lair. He then abducted several Mecharus, 5 of which were known and later found dead or catatonic sometime later. The Paralyzer would then target Io, he decided on her as his latest subject due to both her appalling ignorance and innocence on the fact that the Gaeanid Religion were nothing more than Idols and Traditions made by power hungry Controllers, whom he despised for doing nothing but revel in the fools that gave them their ill-gained dopamine. Despite all of this, even her incident with Offentor, Io's trust and devotion to the obviously fake cultures in PentaCorp, made her enticing to The Paralyzer.

Also contributing to his interest was her innocence to the fact that she was derived from an AI and several Human Consciousnesses haphazardly inserted into one Psyche, including the main ones, Stella 'Stell' Fieldman, the Executive Murdoch Fieldman's daughter, and of course, the artificially engineered consciousness, the A.I.O itself. This amongst various other reasons was motivation enough to target Io as his latest guinea pig for his chemicals. After her victory against Piralas, a piranha-based Mecharus with a love for serrated edges, The Paralyzer would then remotely infect Io with a perfected version of the Cyber-Virus mentioned earlier. After Io was knocked out cold with this ailment, she would awake to the grinning and horrifying face of The Paralyzer, having further mutilated and modified himself to make himself look like a nightmarish wraith from the darkest recesses of one's imagination. The Paralyzer would then inject OmniPlegia Gas into Io, before proceeding to prod and poke at her mental sanity, using his newly gained Psychic Abilities as well as his ever-reliable Chemicals to further exacerbate her horror at the situation, and cut into what makes her tick.

After some time passed, Io would flee The Paralyzer, with him sustaining an eye injury that prevented him from recapturing her. Luckily for The Paralyzer, he had built a complete enough Psyche profile of Io, enough to send in an anonymous Psyche Evaluation Request to PentaCorp to inform them of Io's troubling mental state..
