It is 2099, the world has undergone drastic change since the dawn of the 21st century.

By this point, Earth had experienced ten consecutive world wars, each of them bringing about new innovation and regulation alike. 

Initially, the first four of these wars would be fought between the Unified Kingdoms of Britania, the Empire of Hispania, the Mongolian Empire, the Holy Roman Republic, the Haudenosaunee Alliance, the Siberian Federation, and many other nations that wished to capitalize on the squabbling of these powers. 

At the end of these conflicts in the year 1775, the Holy Roman Republic and the Siberian Federation would fall to an insurrection from an imperialist party and a communist uprising respectively.

Along with this, the Unified Kingdoms of Britania would see many of its colonies separate itself from their colonial mother, some key examples of this being the United States of America, the Patagonian Alliance, and the Confederation of New Holland.

After the Four Wars, an interlude of peace would last around nineteen years until the newly formed Holy Roman Empire would amass enough resources and power to kickstart the Capitoline Crusades, the fifth war thus far.

The Fifth War would be the longest of the wars so far, as while the initial conflict between the Roman Empire and its allies would last for around thirty-one years, the actual duration of the war would be better described as ninety-six years.

This was because one of the Holy Roman Empire's allies, the National Prussian Republic, had also made their own preparations for war.

However, unlike the Holy Roman Empire's soldiers, cavalry, spears, shields, and firearms, the National Prussian Republic's arrangements for battle were far more unorthodox, and certainly far more lethal.

Around this time, rumors began to circulate in the Unified Kingdoms of Britania detailing sightings of the "Silverfish", a strange metal object that fell from the sky, crashing down somewhere in the forests of the National Prussian Republic.

The legends claim that once the Silverfish crashed into the ground, a Roman-Prussian surveying team was sent to the area in order to investigate the anomaly.

Allegedly they had plundered a strange Black Crystal, some Iron Boxes, and a peculiar mirror-like object found in the Silverfish's corpse. 

Not long after this, a covert expedition team from the neighboring Empire of Hispania would try to find the Silverfish's remains only to find nothing but scraps of metal, some wires..

And a creature.

It was made of a similar steel to the Silverfish, but the material coursed with a powerful aura as the metal expanded and contracted. It was like the creature was breathing.

Like it was alive.

The creature was in the shape of a pest; more specifically, it resembled a strange type of bug.

With its multiple jagged limbs surrounding its thin long body, this creature would earn the nickname Inferniempiés, an Espanian portmanteau that would roughly translate to "Hell Centipede" in English.

After a period of silence between the Inferniempiés and the Espanian forces, the creature would proceed to deploy its weapons: large cylindrical guns that deployed on the sides flanking the Inferniempiés' body to the side.

The Inferniempiés would then fire a rapid stream of bullets into all but one of the Espanian forces.

Their bodies would smoke on the ground as the sole survivor of the incident ran off into the woods, not to be seen until a few months later.

After that, the Inferniempiés' whereabouts were unknown, with its last known action being to drill into the ground, destination unknown.

At first, the Unified Kingdoms of Britania would collectively scoff at this nonsense, as the entire situation seemed too ridiculous to believe.

After all, how could a situation as absurd as this be real?

This would be the general stance on this situation for the thirty-year conflict between the Holy Roman Empire and the world. Throughout this period of time, the Inferniempiés would slip into little more than myth, being brought up in the same vein as the elusive Deadfoot Devil in the United States of America and the Hanged Golem of Middle Eastern belief.

The Holy Roman Empire would put up a valiant fight against their enemies, leading to the further weakening of the Unified Kingdoms of Britania and the crippling of the Kingdom of France. However, a series of disastrous campaigns in the regions of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the Empire of Hispania, as well as a failed attempt to invade the African continent would lead to the fall of the Holy Roman Empire in the year 1806.  

From the ashes of a fallen empire would come the rise of another.

The National Prussian Empire would take advantage of the Holy Roman Empire's collapse by initiating an invasion of the Kingdom of France a year later in 1807. Unlike the Holy Roman Empire, the National Prussian Empire's forces were something that no other nations had encountered before.

Waves of giant mechanical insectoids would swarm the Kingdom of France, using their sheer power to brute force their way through the diminutive French forces, accompanying them were giant knights of steel that wielded giant muskets and flintlocks in each of their fists.

Within a matter of a week, the Kingdom of France was no more, and within the ruins was  

This would include cybernetics to enhance the capabilities of the average human. The 8th war had nearly annihilated all Old Governments based in Democracy, Communism, and Republics. The differences between the Socialite Humans and their Cybernetic Slave Labor became clear. Culminating with the Warheads launched by a fateful Anti-Slavery Insurrectionist group, the world had officially erupted into fire and brimstone, after much innovation, war crimes, and bloodshed, war crimes, the Old Countries had vaporized themselves into warm oblivion. And with their demise came a new era.

The era of the Corporations.

'Governments' as they were known in the Old Days had now become mere overlookers to the machinations of the Corporation. The first of these companies included but were not solely composed of Pentamechanics Corporation, CombiNetworking, Quetzal Militant Technologies, Amalgamation Communications, Viros Military Hardware LLC, Eden Sustenance Farming LLC, Kerykeion Pharmaceuticals LLC, Neptune Oil Corp, William Martin Aeronautics, and HolloWorks Burrowing and Mining Company. 

All of these and much more would eventually carve their niche in the new age, Citizens and Cybernetic Slaves were now one and the same. The Slaves inheriting their freedom at long last and the Citizens gaining powerful Cybernetic enhancements. The pleasures of Humanity had at long last begun, they enjoyed a Valhalla, the Slave Labor being all but supplanted by Drones.

Not only were they more moral to the average citizen, but they were also more efficient, and they could do most tasks with one exception.

War was something that the average robotic Drone could do yes, but not efficiently. They could easily be downed by fighter planes from above and a well-placed rocker from below. This became an unfortunate setback for the Corporations. 

For at this time, they were fighting over land and influence like dogs over scraps of meat. 

This was the dawn of the 9th War, several Private Governmental Corporations (PGC) had forged feuds between themselves, and they were marching to the tune of war once more. The robotic Drones were ineffectual in combat, but they weren't the only Killing Machines to stalk the plains. terrestrial vehicles, aerial craft, mobile fortresses, subterranean burrowers, and underwater mariners were just some of the War Machines that these Corporations would employ in their conflicts. 

After many cities, settlements, and bases were wiped out by these war games, they declared a ceasefire after it was surmised that they would wipe themselves out like their Old Earth ancestors if they continued further. 

Taking into account the Great Automation Wars, a time of gruesome combat enacted by various AGIs, it was decided by the Capitoline Triadne that true AGIs were too powerful a tool for any private entity to possess.

Things would progress well after this brutal period of history, devices like the QPhone, QPad, and QPod were created, increasing the already high quality of life for the average civilian.

With this happenstance in mind, the Corporations would go about creating several variations of Artificial Intelligence, made much easier with the recent discovery of the Ores, metals such as Aborium, Trassium, Resilium, Diminium, Sporadium, Propellium, and many other Ores similar to these were uncovered and excavated from either underground or meteorites harboring the Metals. All of the Ores each had a special ability, one that proved useful for enacting the machinations of the human race. Resilium is an Ore useful for hardware, as it conducted electricity well and was also very durable, able to withstand medium sized explosions and weapons-fire, Trassium was useful for creating psychic networks, similar to the Internet of previous days, but this time, alongside conventional Technology, the thoughts of the individual using the mindware could be uploaded at will and turned into messages, Sporadium was invaluable for EMP and incendiary explosives, as it detonated with an explosive charge able to damage even Resilium, making an electromagnetic wave in the process, Propellium was extremely beneficial for kinetic explosives, artillery, and firearms, as when lit with an internal mechanism, it propels the ammo at extreme speeds, being 2.5 times the speed of gunpowder, and Aborium, an advanced integral to many of the Corporation's creations, including mind uploading, supercomputer networks, various forms of cybernetic enhancements...

And the creation of artificial life, as within Aborium, there were stimulus-nodes, communication signals, and structures resembling artificial neurons going off, with rudimentary consciousness able to be constructed from these base elements inter, at least to a small extent. 

PentaCorp, via their research, had found the use for this miracle material fairly quickly. Whilst others used it for forcefields and Drone functionalities, PentaCorp had decided to use it for a new program: 

The Mecharus Program.

Using a specific form of Raw Aborium harvested from the asteroid belt, they had quickly manufactured their own intelligent robotic lifeforms via the Aborium Node, otherwise known as the Mecharus Chip, using this as their base template, they would tinker and meddle with the Aborium consciousness inside to create their own loyal lifeforms.

That was the initial plan anyway, but the creation of the first Mecharus (Project -1), The CyberMancer, had proved rather recalcitrant in nature, eventually bailing out from a mission against the New Soviet Republic-Based company Chernabog Chemical and Nuclear Products LLC, causing a local avalanche, fleeing into the Siberian Wilderness.

Their next plan (Project 0), to create an information stealing Psychic Informant Unit was set in motion, they would create the base consciousness via more careful curating of the memories and personality of their creation, specifically including directions to 'Work for the almighty collective, to serve with all your glory the Hive-Mind PentaCorp' and then upload it to the new body.

'Project: Chimera', better known as the OmniNet was born.

At first, it proved more loyal than the CyberMancer, even obeying an order to attack facilities 9 times, enacting the missions with perfect clarity and grace.

But then something went horribly.. horribly wrong.

Through a fluke of programming and the vague instructions of its directives the Chimera had assimilated around 100+ individuals from the bases, integrating not only their memories, but their consciousness as well. The Chimera had experienced the euphoric sensation of Hive-Mind assimilation. And it wasn't going to be stopping any time soon.

The Chimera had now turned into OmniNet, and commenced their activities once more, killing and assimilating several people, including executive Murdoch Fieldman's wife, Sophia, at the facility before fleeing to a location in South America it only dubbed "The Promised Edens".

The third (Designated as Project 1) project, one related to the Mecharus project but at the same time separate, was 'Project: XERXES', named after the DDOS attack on the Capitoline Triadne's computer networks in the late 2020s. It would inhabit multiple Arachnoid bodies, and unlike their last attempt, they had examined every parameter that was fed to Xerxes. It was made to perfection; they had integrated the personality traits of ruthlessness, determination, intelligence, curiosity, and hunger in its circuits, alongside the Personality Components of all individuals that held these traits when searched in the World Database, some of the greatest Scientists who had ever lived, some of the greatest CEOs/Executives ever to run companies, the most determined men on Earth, and inadvertently..

The most violent men on Earth. PentaCorp had unwittingly put the Personality Components of serial killers, dictators, sadistic scientists, and literal cannibals into their new machine. This was certainly a gamble for PentaCorp, as these inputs would make or break their new mech.

Unfortunately for them, this gambit would backfire immensely, with the results proving costly.  

Xerxes was then activated, and then proceeded to wreak havoc on his creators, with the intelligence of an animalistic beast, he had begun assimilating those into his body, and ultimately his mind. Unlike the OmniNet, Xerxes maintained dominance over his Body and Psyche, merely absorbing the Memories, Consciousness, and Intelligence of his victims. After eating untold amounts of people with his bodies, Xerxes had achieved a near-genius Intellect, experts estimate that his MIQ (Mecharus Intelligence Quotient) is around 189 Compressions, which would be around 200 IQ for a human. After his aforementioned devouring feast, Xerxes would then gorge himself on human delicacies as the security division of the Capitoline Triadne GAEA (Global Affairs Enforcement Alliance) homed in on his location.

After much loss of life (around 79 individuals), Xerxes had now achieved an abnormally high level of intelligence for a Drone. By this moment, the loose collection of scientists, revolutionaries, inventors, sadists, cannibals, and other such individuals had finally coalesced into a unique personality of its own. 

A cackling madman that possesses a razor-sharp intelligence, eccentric behaviors, a thirst for more scientific information via 'Experiments, sadistic and ruthless tendencies, charisma, and a craving for more bodies so that he could increase the amount of Intellect he has, torment the poor hapless minds that are now stuck in Xerxes' Psyche, and to satisfy his sadistic and food-happy urges with a burst of Euphoric Dopamine.

Xerxes then proceeded to escape the PentaCorp Building, and proceeded to murder dozens of innocent civilians, further enhancing portions and sections of his mind before all of his bodies save one were destroyed via homing missiles, heavy artillery, and some well-placed mines.

So that would be around 3 Plans that had failed in their main purpose... This was clearly going to be a PR nightmare for PentaCorp if they continued on with the same manufacturing process that they had done with the previous ones, those being CyberMancer, OmniNet, and Xerxes. PentaCorp needed to reinvent their Consciousness Creation process.

And so they did, after much experimentation, they had finally created something that would ensure that at the very least, there would be one loyal, sane and content individual in the sea of failures.

The Consciousness Complier, better known as the ConPlier. This machine would, with some light inputting and guidance, fabricate a Mechanical Being with a natural, internal, personality, rather than the Frankenstein approach they took for Xerxes, CyberMancer, and OmniNet. The first of these new and improved Mecharus (Project 2) would be one named 'ENFORCER'.

ENFORCER's consciousness was designed with the prompt that it would be a Loyal Enforcer of PentaCorp, being smart enough to carry orders out, but stupid enough to not question them. ENFORCER was notable, as he was the first successful Mechanical Being that PentaCorp had created, ENFORCER would gleefully obey the whims of PentaCorp, being able to raid insurrectionist bases with relative ease. And enforce company policy in the regions that had deemed PentaCorp their rulers.

ENFORCER was a successful project, but one success amongst 3 Failures would not look too appetizing to their investors, nor to their CEOs and Executives, so several more would be needed to prove the worth of the program when compared to normal run of the mill Drones. PentaCorp then proceeded to create their first Mecharus Body, one that was not built exclusively for one particular Consciousness, one that could be freely mass produced, this Project would later give rise to the Scout Runner and Versatility Unit Series 42, the Automatic Destroyer War-Machine Series 17 and the Battalion Destructor Series 29 (the SRVU-42, ADU-17, and BD-29 respectively), the former of which will prove important for their 4th. (Technically 6th, the CyberMancer was counted as Project -1, and OmniNet as Project 0) project, the Aware and Intelligent Organism or the Assault Intelligence Organism (Depending on who you asked), and the latter 2 for the creation of the more immediate Project 5 (Project 3).

The 5th Project would involve a group of Drones, Xerxes' relatively intact consciousness, and new Mecharus by the names of Automaton, HADES and Hephaestus, the former were converted into Mecharus Bodies and personalities after their above-average intelligence in combat scenarios, Xerxes was kept alive because in spite of the fact that he was a homicidal cannibalistic psychotic lunatic, he was useful for study, and that he had information they so desperately wanted, and Hephaestus and HADES were created as the Psyches to inhabit the 2 Personalized bodies made for them. Like the ENFORCER project before them, both of them were successful as well, the Automatons were also successful, yielding the individuals ZEUS, Poseidon, Hera, Apollo, HERMES, Vulcan, Pluto, Aphrodite, and Dionysus. Automaton was also a success, as he had displayed little violent tendencies, took orders quite well, was relatively intelligent and was quite charismatic as well. Another pleasant surprise was Xerxes' behavior, as soon as he was reactivated in only one body, he had mentally stabilized to seemingly sane and compicit levels. 

He still possessed his ruthlessness, his euphoric thirst for food due to the psyche absorbing, intelligence upgrades, craving for info, and other eccentric behavior, but traits like his active killing of others to quench his Hunger, his general Psychotic Tendencies, and his Sadism were greatly reduced to seemingly non-dangerous levels. This string of behavior would be enough to convince PentaCorp to release him from his Restraints, allowing him to maintain the same rights as the Mecharus that didn't commit several accounts of manslaughter.

Overall, these recent Mecharus, the ones created with PentaCorp's chief weapon of war: The ConPlier were extremely successful, and achievements that the company was willing to share.

Around this time, another program utilizing experimental HyperDrive Computing (Read: Hyper Dimensional Intelligence), Project: PLACATOR would yield a successful albeit peculiar result. The Strong-AI had 3 separate Consciousnesses, 1st Face, a cold and Logical Computing Unit, the 2nd Face, a charismatic and calm Female Announcer type Unit, and 3rd Face, a disjointed hedonistic psychopath and blowhard that had threatened to kill several people, including their co-creator, the executive Marcus Acroixer.

Around this particular moment in time the 4th Project, Project: AIO was still in development.

Strangely, the ConPlier's output was beginning to slow down, this would be right around when the PLACATOR would begin controlling of operations at the behest of Marcus Acroixer. 

Despite these strange circumstances, things were going relatively well, until PentaCorp had caught wind of some truly strange and bizarre events regarding important personnel.

Murdoch Fieldman and his daughter Stella "Stell" Fieldman would begin feeling uncomfortable, visions of horrific Metallic Wraiths had begun to appear in their dreams, at times waking them from their slumber, the Wraiths would toy and fiddle with them in their sleep whilst they were in sleep paralysis.

Concerningly enough, two of the Wraiths looked more interested in Stell than her father, perhaps these ones were perverted, perhaps they simply fed on fear, maybe it was all linked to previous Mental Health Issues...?

Regardless, they would move to various housings, still being followed by the Wraiths, it even appeared possessed their Car and one of the Homes...

Strangely enough, two of the Wraiths disappeared after April, 11, 2039, one day before Stell's Birthday, which regardless of the peculiarity of the Wraiths disappearance. The Birthday was celebrated, and Father and Daughter were both content and happy at this time...

A year later, then came in a strange request from the PLACATOR, it explicitly outlined that Stell go to the PentaCorp Mecharus Holding Center for "Human Psychology Observations, Product Testing, Juvenile Overseeing, and 'SRVU-42 Test-Drive'", the price for not following PLACATOR's orders would be Liquidation of all of Murdoch's stock in PentaCorp, so Stell would reluctantly go to the facility to fulfill the demands of the PLACATOR, much to the displeasure of both Murdoch and Stell.

During her stay, she would invite her friends Hector, Eve, Liv, Lex, Dana, Ina, Ellie, Hector, Ena, Rachel, and Ellis to make herself less lonely. 

After much partying, video-games, spin the bottle, watching videos, and other such mundane activities. The PLACATOR would jarringly interrupt at around 10:44 PM, saying that they need Subjects to use for product testing purposes, and that they must stay for one more day, much to the befoulment of Stell and everyone else there. Annoyingly enough, this order was issued to all in the workers building as well, with the promise of "2,000,000" being the only thing keeping the workers from fleeing the facility.

Then it happened, at around
