Âmaliâ is a small country in the north-east. Its coastline is very long for the country's size due to its situation around a long bay. Most of the population lives in cities by the sea, including the capital city, Vol-bur. Anywhere outside the cities is referred to as the Âmalij Outlands.

Âmalij Outlands close

The Âmalij Outlands are mostly tundra and steppe. Settlements are small and isolated, often not knowing each other's locations and any trade being facilitated by migratory mammoth herders at specific times of the year. Although geographically part of Âmaliâ, the Outlands are often said to be independent, which in reality means that citizens of the Outlands are effectively stateless.
