In the midst of peace, comes a wounded light elf seeking refuge. Their eyes bright…yet dark with terror.

Aragorn was just trying to live his life…yet…that peace soon came to an end as their whole world came crashing down around them. They fled, forever on the run and in endless war with themself and the ones who wish him dead. As he had just found peace in what seemed to be their new home, they were ambushed and brutally attacked. Somehow, with the last bit of magic that they wielded…they were able to get away to a new land.

However…nothing lasts forever.

The last thing Aragorn saw while crawling up the doorsteps of a random persons house was black. Pitch black. It was nighttime as far as they saw…but the stars didn’t shine as bright.

Aragorn was covered in blood, cuts bruises, gashes…his left arm was broken…as with his left leg. He couldn’t feel anything but pain. Agonizing pain. He shook as he laid there, slowly slipping into unconsciousness. This was how he died…they just knew it. They were going to die. They took shallow breaths as their eyes closed, his body slowly becoming unable to move at all. He just laid there on this person’s doorstep motionless. Slowly dying…

They coughed and felt blood drip from their mouth. The dark ones had definitely did a number on him. They probably completed their mission of killing him. That’s…until they heard the door open and felt light be shed upon their motionless, broken body. At that moment, he couldn’t hold on anymore. They completely slipped into unconsciousness, their breathing slowing even more as he kept bleeding out.

Nikolaia opened his door, having seen motion through his window. He gasped, throwing himself into action immediately. He hoisted the unconscious body up and over his shoulder, carrying them into his house, not caring one bit that this random person just showed up on their doorstep and was now bleeding all over his clothes and his carpet. He sat them down on his ugliest couch. He'd clean it or get rid of the couch, whatever. He ran to his medicine bag, started pulling stuff out, and then just opted to bring the whole bag. He started cleaning the cuts and the gashes, gently dabbing and wiping so as not to hurt the person, whether they could feel it or not. He took the person's shirt off, he'd explain later, and put their hair up. His dreads started falling in his face as he muttered "fuck- fuck fuck fuck" He bandage the cuts and put aloe vera on their bruises. It was only then that he realized they had both a broken arm and leg. He whispered "Sorry. this is gonna hurt" before he snapped the bone in the person's left arm back in place. He applied a splint and wrapped up the arm. He then moved on to the leg "This too" he said as he snapped the leg back. He did the same to their leg. He then realized they may have internal bleeding, so put his stethoscope to their chest, sides, and stomach, hearing nothing, they put their stuff away, got one of his largest shirts, because this person was at least twice his size, and put it on them, just then stopping to look at the bird tattoos all over their arm and torso. Feeling like a perv for staring, he moved them to one of his more comfy couches, covered them with a blanket, and prepared to clean up a bunch of blood

Aragorn was out for a long while…and by the time they woke, it was morning. They groaned softly as they felt a pang of pain all throughout their body. He decided to keep his eyes squeezed shut, hoping the pain would go away. They couldn’t move…couldn’t even try at the moment. All he could do was hope.

He honestly was amazed he was alive…they didn’t think they’d make it. But…they did- they lived. Wow…

Aragorn coughs and winces as he opens his eyes, looking around. He was inside a house. A very warm feeling house. That was nice…at least he wasn’t shivering. He groans as he turns his head, looking around at the new sights. Everything seemed very…off. Not like where he was from. Almost…modern? He only assumed.

They try sitting up, but yelps as he tried. Pain surged through their body, making them gasp and whimper. “Where-“ He coughs again, trembling slightly. The pain was too much…it hurt so much. Yet he still tried to sit up. They then look down at their bandaged body, grimacing.

"Ah, good morning" Nikolaia said as he sat up on his feet from his position on the floor. He had been scrubbing their blood out of his carpet. "Ah ah ah" he said worriedly "Lay back down, or at least don't move so fast. You broke three bones, are covered in bruises, and are super cut up. Your lucky you don't have internal bleeding"

@Eli-the-transboi group

Aragorn looks over to this stranger, blinking. He then slowly lays back down with a grunt. “Ack-“ he squeezes his eyes closed again, speaking in a thick Irish accent. “Where am I…?”

He gently covers his stomach with his non broken arm, trying to stabilize his breathing. Then, they attempted to heal themselves, only to seemingly make it worse. “AUGH!” He trembles slightly, gasping for breath.

"You're in my house, in Harlech Wales. My name is Nikolaia, but you can call me Niko." He said, turning his focus back to his carpet. "Don't use magic either" he said "It'll only make it worse. If it hurts, I can get you some herbal medicine. " He spoke to the man without looking up, finishing getting the stain out of the carpet

He stood and peeled off his gloves, folding them up and being sure not to touch the blood and chemicals. He turned to the man and for the first time let his Welsh accent slip when he said "What's your-" He faltered, clearly not knowing the word for poison in the common tongue. He then chose to just use a word he knew "What's your gwenwyn? Peppermint or Chamomille?"

@Eli-the-transboi group

Aragorn stares at him, blinking. They then clear their throat, “Um…Chamomile. Diolch…“ He nods, looking back down at his wounds. After a moment, they look back up to him. “I apologize…my Welsh isn’t perfect…” He sighs as he lays his head back. “Thank you for helping me…” He grunts as they shift their body weight. He still hurt…a lot. At least he wasn’t dying. But he could still feel themself bleeding. He always hated that feeling…

“My name is Aragorn…pleased to meet you, Niko.” He closes their eyes, trying to distract themself from the pain.

"Chamomile. A fine choice." He said, walking off to the kitchen to put the tea on for it to steep in the boiling water he had made earlier, he listened to what Aragorn was saying as he did, and when he returned, he replied "No need to be sorry, my English is, what's the word? Screw it. My English is erchyll." He walked around the living room, tidying up. He then walked over to Aragorn and put his hand on their head, then their cheek, then their neck. Registering that it may be awkward, he recoiled immediately, having found out what he needed to know "Apologies. I was just checking your temperature to make sure you were more stable. You were very cold when I found you, because you had lost a lot of blood, and," he was rambling. Realizing this, he abruptly stopped talking to catch his breath and then processed what Aragorn had said between the temp check and his ramblings "Croeso. You are a beautiful person Aragorn. If you don't mind my asking, what brought you to my door in such a terrible state?"

@Eli-the-transboi group

Aragorn was still chilly, but he had warmed up slightly. They still shivered through…he didn’t feel too well either. He looked up at the man, looking absolutely pitiful. He wasn’t trying to of course. He just felt like shit. At the complement they received, they smiled weakly. “Thank you…” He tries to get a little more comfortable, but it didn’t really work any.

At the question, he took a moment before answering. “I was attacked…by a cult.” He sighs as if ashamed. “They’ve been after me for years now…I- I honestly don’t know how I got transported here…” They wince slightly, taking a shaky breath. They hurt so much…his body trembled slightly from how much pain he was in.

“I apologize for this…thank you greatly for helping me…I owe you.”

Niko meandered out into the kitchen, coming back with a warm cup of chamomile tea, and holding it out to Aragorn gently. "Oh. Wow. That's a lot." Niko said, listening to their explanation. "You don't owe me anything," Nikolaia smiled, his dreadlocks falling in his face for a split second when he turned his head. "I'm a doctor. My calling is to help people, and my field of choice is medicine. You needed help, and I knew how to provide it. There is nothing more you can to for me than to get well and strong again"

@Eli-the-transboi group

Aragorn carefully took the tea, thanking him and takes a sip. He instantly warmed up and sighed softly. They slowly started to relax as they drank the tea. After a moment, they look up at Niko. “You’re a doctor? Oh wow…that profession is a gift where I come from. Only those with that gift are actually supposed to be doctors.” He sighs softly, taking another sip of the tea.

“Well…thank you…for helping me. I’ll attempt to not be too much of a bother.” He assured, trying to sit up again, only to hiss in pain and lean back. Gods… He thought this pain would be enough to kill him.

Niko sighed, thinking 'Why do these strong men always have to be so stoic?' he didn't mind to much, but Aragorn needed his help, so he delivered. "You won't be a bother. If I thought you would be, I would have sent you away as soon as you woke up"

@Eli-the-transboi group

Aragorn laughs softly at the comment, “Oh? Well I’m glad you’re blunt enough so I don’t have to decode you.” He chuckles again, though the laughing only made his pain worse. He takes another drink of his tea, sighing softly and rubbing his forehead.

“Well…anyway…do you live alone here…?”

Deleted user

"Yep. All alone. Aside from Reginold" He looked around "I'm an only child, my parents live in Aisa, I have no children, and my husband died from illness long ago" He looked around. "Speaking of, where is that neidr ffycin blino?" He said, not sure if they understood him, but knowing that Reginold did

@Eli-the-transboi group

Aragorn frowns softly, “Oh…I’m so sorry…” He mumbles. He then blinks as Niko spoke. “Ah…snake?” He tilts his head. They then look around, confused. “What?”

They gripped their mug slight as they tried to look around. “You have a pet?” He tilts their head.

Deleted user

Niko turned back to Aragorn "Yep. Snake. What I said was 'fucking annoying snake' because Reginold is kind of a brat" Niko clicked his tongue like he was calling a cat and a large snake slithered out from beneath the couch Aragorn was lying on. "Ah, there you are," he said, reaching his arm down as the snake coiled around him. This was a massive snake. "He's a shy adder, the only venomous snake native to Wales"

@Eli-the-transboi group

Aragorn smiles. “Oh wow…very beautiful.” They nod, setting his mug down after he’s done. They then look back up at the snake. “I…recall actually having a snake. I think- maybe.” He shrugs, gripping their side slightly.

He then chuckles as his brain registers the mention of the snake being a brat. “Ah…the best kind of pet are always the bratty ones. Never a dull moment I assume?”

Deleted user

"ffyc no," he said, trying to censor his cursing just a tad by using his native tongue. "He ate my shoe the other day. Like a dog. He SWALLOWED my left house slipper. Me and him are gonna fight one of these days I swear" He said, sounding irritated at first, but stroking the snake's head, speaking the last sentence with a joking tone of adoration for the snake.
