Kinda curious what kind of races and species people generally have on here. I don't use humans much, so I'm always curious about how creative other people are in their own fantasy worlds. I created a few species for my world building, for reference.
i mostly have human OCs, but i've written a handful of other races as well.
We've got: 2 tieflings, 1 wolf-man, 2 Kitsune, 3 mind flayers, a variety of generic human beans, a unspecific sun deity, and a rabbit person.

I don't see many have illithid OCs - that's pretty dope! What are they like?

One of them is a guy who broke away from a colony of them, and lives in a underdark town. He's pretty reserved, and still a little cold+calculating. He is very interested in knowledge of Arcane magic, and is one of the top people who helps defend the village from attacks.
Another one is a mind flayer who works as a disgruntled adventures guild employee, who eventually gets fed up with people and helps initiate an raid on the villiage(These are different villiages of course)

pretty similar to a tabaxi, just more lion than leopard/jaguar.

Do your illithid go route of eating only those they perceive as evil? Or do they have another method?

Chase - Raptor-man (another one of my own, Human with raptor teeth, spines, claws, etc.)
Magma - Dragonman (Basically, raptor-man but dragon)
Liane - Human (mostly??)
Klaus - Human, can turn into a Naga

Siirawyn: Formerly a human, Aeth user. Aeth is the term for ‘magic’ in his world (though it has other uses as well. assume that the word magic does not exist in his world. people are also born with Aeth, and show a ring of gold around the pupil which first appears just after the base eye colour of a child is settled).
After the Golden Catastrophe, he became an Aeth Beast. The specifics of how they come to be are unknown, but it is thought there is more than one way to become one. To become an Aeth Beast usually brings out the worst in one’s traits, though it didn’t happen as badly to Siirawyn as it did to others.
For about 1000 years, a not so normal Tree.
After awakening, a Corrupted Aeth Beast. Loses their sense of consciousness (or rather, becomes trapped in it) and become comparable to mindless beasts who attack almost anything on sight (can also vary, but his intentions were def to destroy).

Istrad: Formerly a human Aeth user. Became an Aeth Beast after the Golden Catastrophe.
Kyrios: Something Unknown. Created by Istrad, using elements of Siirawyn. Capable of effortlessly changing forms; from something relatively human to something in between beast and man, but still leaning more human (looks like he’s wearing armour, except it’s not quite that…) into an Aeth beast like form. A being of pure Aeth.
Turns into a Corrupted Aeth Beast at the end of his story.
Zaluse: Formerly a human, Aeth user. Turned into Aeth Beast after the GC.
Josef: Born a human with no Aeth abilities. Given Aeth abilities by Zaluse, making him a technical Aeth user at the age of 20.
i also have a lot of kaiju OCs and general monster/alien ones!
