Twist endings can be great and can sometimes be unexpected. Others are easily seen coming, or poorly executed. Talk about the twist endings that you've experienced whether it be from a book, a movie, or TV show.

Okay so I know many people probably don't watch this show, but Tangled: The Series/Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure

Honestly, the 'Cassandra is Gothel's daughter' thing wasn't too much of a surprise. It was theorised by so many people and it becomes clear once you see all the little details - like Cass' hair and eyes.
I definitely was not expecting Cass to grab the moonstone at the end of season 2. I do like how they did a mini redemption arc because she just wasn't Cass. I mean she was literally being manipulated by Zhan Tiri without knowing it, and we saw her falter so many times. I think it was done really convincingly though, and I loved watching each new episode as it came (I did a binge when season 3 was added to Disney+, I hadn't watched in ages and I'd never seen season 3 even though I really wanted to).

On the other hand, I completely hated the 'Eugene is the long-lost prince of the Dark Kingdom' twist. It came out of fucking nowhere. I understand the reasoning behind it and how they put it into the plot, but it just makes no sense. Sure, it spawned my fave song of the series, but it came out of nowhere. And it just makes no sense to me.
Eugene spent his whole life as a thief and not having a family. Then he found Punz and got a new family. And then he discovers that his dad sent him away to protect him? From a stone? It's just so dumb to me. Sorry to anyone who likes the twist.
Though I do like the weird relationship he develops with his father. It's wack and I just love it.
