Greetings, programs!
First things first: I am not going to participate, moderate, or even follow this RP beyond handing it over to someone who will take care of it. I don't really have the time or sanity for constant RPing anymore, but I had this idea, considered it RP-worthy, and am giving it to you as a magical gift. It's up to whomever takes modding/lead responsibilities for this thread to decide whether or not it's OxO, group, mature, fluff, open to stalkers, etc (I will change the thread title accordingly to what you choose).

The premise:
At first, the crack just looked like the line from a jet stream, a thin, white thread pressed across the cool blue of the sky. But it didn't disappear when the sun did, shining as brightly as the stars and the moon, and everyone is beginning to realise: it's growing bigger. Wider. Shining brighter.
The birds, meanwhile - and all flying creatures - have been disappearing. Nobody knows why, but rumours abound that they're flying through the crack, since they're the only things able to reach it.
Not a single drop of rain has come since the crack appeared. The weather is warming, dangerous and rapid. The land is on the verge of drought.
You must save it.
