The world of Theron is all humans know, but beyond that, a faint memory of a world known as Sadial sits. Sadial, the realm of the magical creatures, a world across a massive ocean and through the searing hot borders of active volcanos, and over the massive canyons. Not many have made it to Sadial - it proves to be a safe haven for the magical creatures. Elves, dragons, all sorts of wonderful beings.

Theron is not without magic, though. Humans do lack the basic ability to practice magic, but everything carries a bit of magic with them. Thus, humans have an item of some sorts, that they use to conduct their abilities.
And Theron does not lack magical creatures, either. Not everything is going to live in Sadial - the dragons and elves, maybe. But other beasts roam the lands. The further East you head to Sadial, the more common these creatures get, with the first dragons being sighted across the Vesil Sea.

Straying away from that, elves will sometimes go to Theron, but usually only in the case of a mission. And they must be wary. Most humans, if not all do not take kindly to elves.

I said a good majority of them, but there are exceptions. When love blooms, sometimes, it cannot be stopped. And it’s even more unusual when it’s the human king of the largest kingdom of Theron, Hidel. Falling in love with a female ground Elf. He did his best to keep it a secret - they both did, giving life to a one of a kind, half elf - half human child. But things became harder, but it was not the humans who found out first, but the elves. The elves who cursed the woman, imprisoning her for her crimes. The king, thrown into a sadness. But his torture would not end as the people would know what had happened.
The king gave the young child away to one of his most trusted friends. Alone from Hidel, to be raised in a smaller village, away from the humans.
Raised in a human culture, the half elf has a semi familiar ‘elf’ appearance and even carries the affinity for some magic, but with no trainers, it won’t go very far.

Thing is, things are changing. All the way across the borders, a battle rages in Sadial, between four magical creatures in the defense of two more. Although the battle is one - the three allies victorious, one of them is greatly wounded. The guardian of the earth has fallen, and without them, balance will soon fall. It will be slow, it will take time. But it will happen, and the guardians must find the next earth-guardian: maybe in a not so traditional way.

A RP in which a half elf goes on an adventure in a land of magical creatures. Maybe forcefully dragged, or willfully hopped along.
Fantasy RP - do not be shy to ask what is in the universe and what is not. Medieval-ish timeline as well. Here are the four main kingdoms. I know it’s a bit of a hefty read especially taking into account the beginning, but please read, or at least keep in mind.

Hidel: Largest kingdom of Theron, the human land. A massive castle surrounded by deep pits, must be crossed only through the bridge. While easy to defend, it makes for a troublesome thing if breached as there aren’t any escape routes. Hidel is where your character, the half elf was born in, but never got to hear or see much of it. They would’ve been told by the guardian.

Maezia: A distant, northern kingdom, castle quite literally built into the mountains. Mysterious, ruled by its two queens. Not much is known about them besides having the highest human magic user percentage. 6 in 10 humans practice magic in Maezia, though rarely do they fight, only to protect their home from the cold and biting winds from the mountains.

Rahan: A western kingdom, second largest. They’re arguably the warmongers of the four kingdoms, with how many wars and battles they’ve fought - and won. But since times of peace have come across the world, they haven’t fought that much war in a while. A desert, dry climate. It takes one and a half days if you’re lucky to cross the desert to get to Rahan, or away from it. Statues - or stone corpses of dragons mark the landscapes, implying a harsh battle. Rahan was not always like that - once it was surrounded by grassy fields and streams of clear water. Now, it is different.

Nimore: The smallest kingdom, located down south, closest to the oceans. The most peaceful out of all of the kingdoms. Not much is known about them, aside from how many people flee down there from other kingdoms in order to avoid war.

Now for some half elf things.. (we’ll have more details on the pure elves in RP, but I’ll briefly go over the species)

  • slightly pointed ears. not as much as elves, and maybe not noticeable unless you truly look for it.
  • brighter eyes, less common colours than humans. Even colours that would seem unnatural
  • due to ground elf heritage, stronger connection with the animals of the woodland. even a heightened one with animals in general. limited speech with animals, able to feel emotions and pass on messages.
  • magic ability. But due to lack of teacher, training has been very well impossible.
  • horns. as a half elf, they’re smaller, but still there. ground elves don’t have the largest horns usually. your character can choose if they want to file down these horns or let them grow.

And for our elf species (details of the species will be in RP)

  • Fire Elves
  • Ground Elves
  • Sun Elves
  • Moon Elves
  • Water Elves
  • Trickster Elves
  • Sand Elves
  • Wind Elves

now to some clarifications:

you, the person joining this RP play as the half elf. the forgotten child of the king, who may or may not be alive anymore. and your imprisoned mother who you don’t even know. the guardian would’ve told you of your father as a “good, powerful, but kind hearted man”, but would have never elaborated any more.
the guardian of your character, present in rp, is lost to the beasts of shadow early on in RP. this will eventually lead to the meeting of the Retriever, the one sent to collect the newest Guardian..
Onto the rules. Ask questions as needed.

  1. I will be asking for a writing sample, I've got the right to deny or accept you as needed. Have dialogue as well as text. Only exception for this is if we’ve RPed before and I remember.
  2. I would prefer mature RPers for this.
  3. Ask before joining.
  4. Cursing is allowed.
  5. Violence and blood welcome - there will be a time and place for all of that, though.
  6. For major fights, let's not autohit, but don't dodge everything either (in the event that happens, of course.)
  7. If you have any questions or ideas, feel free to ask.
  8. I would prefer semi-lit into literate RPers. Good grammar is always appreciated.
  9. No one-liners.
  10. I would prefer it be more, but I understand sometimes there isn't much going on, so 11. I only ask that your reply be a minimum of two sentences.
  11. List may or may not change.
  12. Have your character react. Unsure of what to say? Write out their thought process. But also have them actually do things.
  13. Let’s not METAGAME. (Refers to having in-rp knowledge on something told to you outside of RP)

@croccin-champagne

oh my gosh i would love to!! i warn you, laptops are often switched around in my house so some days i can't respond(i refuse to type up long responses on my phone lmao, especially with caps lock off), but i'll do my best! do you need a sample, or does the space pirates roleplay count enough lmao

@Mojack group

No preferences - I like to give people as much as freedom as possible when making their characters, so just do whatever you’d like!

@croccin-champagne

Name:
Cara Kael. Her birth name, was Kallyn Amadel.

Age:
19(newly)

Gender:
Female

Sexuality:
Who honestly knows. She doesn't, that's for damn sure.

Appearance:

Hair cut/color:
Like reverse salt n pepper, a dusty-ish white with black peppered(get it) in. It comes to a bit below her shoulders, and is lightly curly. Though, be prepared for a mess when it's damp.

Eye color/shape:
Pear green, with flecks of emerald that make them pop. They're almond shaped, and framed by naturally thick, darker lashes.

Skin tone:
Tanned. She's a very out doorsy person, constantly hanging out in the sun and in the woods.

Body type:
Lean fit. Not much curve, but more in the bust than the rear.

Height:
5'10

Scars/Identifying marks:
A crooked nose from a bar fight, scars from falling out of trees, which is a habit of hers, and a set of nasty claw marks on her side, towards her back, from trying to help a wounded magical creature.

General clothing style:
Oh she loves light skirts, usually of brown fabric. If they billow? She's already in love. Tight around the waist and opening up as they go down, covering usually bare feet or brown boots. Prefers white shirts with billowy sleeves to tuck into them, often men's shirts that have been tailored to look more feminine. Keeps her family off of her ass. She rolls the sleeves up when she needs to work, and very often has a vest thrown over as well. Ties her hair back with bright and colorful headscarves–often including beads–made of fabrics from merchants that come through.

Personality:
Very fun loving and almost reckless in that. Takes risks like she's taking a walk. Loves her family more than anything, and unfortunately, trusts people a little too much. Is the type of person to get betrayed and still find room in her heart to forgive, and to trust others immediately after. Does everything with so much love. Adores animals and wants to help them, even if some don't want her help.

Fears:
She can't stand being underground, or in too-small spaces. Is also kind of terrified of water because she can't swim.

Other:
Grew up in an incredibly large family, made up of extended family, people who weren't even blood related, and such. The 'friend' who was tasked with her protection had quite a large network of family, and she was instantly accepted, especially because she was a baby.
Has a small field mouse companion.
Works at a tavern, whether family run or not, that part is more up to you, but offers a great way for hearing news if needed.
