Little bit of a different rp, since there SO many romance ones, (which is fine!), and tbh I want something new.
…I hope I'm not the only one here who would die for the "grizzled old traumatized character ends up adopting the young ray of starshine" trope. Joel and Ellie from the first Last of Us, anyone?
As usual, when starting these more out-there ideas, I have no idea if I'll be getting any interest or not, but hey, worth a shot

in my own version of this, there are several options we could traverse.
Since I call being old trauma-man, your character can be any age under this sun (except anything past teens. 19's stretching it). Like, we could meet when your character's a baby. Or when they're 17. Or anywhere in between. My preference is a little older, since it's gonna hurt my little heart if I have to write about an old man being mean to a young child because he's fighting his own fatherly instincts.
But, up to you!
Also, my character is not going to be an oc of mine, I'm stealing him from the Doom world, but whatever, I love him regardless. Just lettin ya know.

Aight, here's my guy! :D
Character's name: Arlath
Character's age: 48
Gender: Male
Personality: Arlath is kind, if subdued. He doesn't talk too much, and seems distant. He'll be friendly, but on a superficial level, and really doesn't want any sort of close relationships. He does not talk about whatever happened to him, but it's clear he's been through some stuff. The more he's push, the more terse he gets

Brief Backstory: He was a warrior, fighting for his country in some war. He won't say more than that.
Other: His hammer doesn't have the red parts most the time. Usually it's deactivated. Also, it's name is Exhunt. He carries with him a small leather bag, though he never shares whatever's inside it.

Personality: Arla is super bubbly. There's no other way to say it. She's super sweet, and willing to lend a hand. But she's also kind of… a goody-two-shoes. Or a teacher's pet, in a way. She doesn't mean to, but she tries to kiss up to the adults in her life, or even her own friends. Though she's not a snob about it- erm… most of the time.
Physical Description: Arla has the prettiest blue-bell eyes. They're definitely one of her most noticed features, above anything else; being a deep ocean blue color, brightening up when she smiles. Her skin is pretty naturally a peachy tan, giving her blonde hair a more pale color to it. When she leaves it down, her hair brushes right past her shoulder blades. But normally she would have her thick mess pulled back into a braid or some sort of pony-tail. Even as a kid, Arla was always pretty tall; currently at the age of ten, she's about 5'2'' and roughly 100 pounds. I'm going to be working on a drawing of her, sometime soon. If you want to see.
Brief Backstory: To keep it simple, Arla's parents just didn't want her when she was born. Her mother didn't want a child, and her father felt unprepared to be one. So they gave her off to an orphanage. She lived there for most of her life, not really knowing there was much else in life. She just assumed she was born that way, and this was how life worked. She's definitely obliviously naive.
Other: She has a slight accent. Though it's most unidentifiable. She doesn't really share where she came from, mostly because she doesn't know/remember. Though it sounds similar to a toned down Irish accent, or possibly South-African.
