OK so, I have a character that is similar to the Joker from the Dark Knight. This is like a hero x villain/ enemies to lovers.

The villain known as the Trickster is wanted for murder … a lot of murder. He is chaotic and unhinged, yet all he really wants is someone to notice him, to pay attention to him. He has a bad habit of playing with his knives, either on himself or others, and when someone upsets him, he turns to violence. He is your character's biggest nuisance. He has no rhyme or reason to his murders, but he always plays a little game with them before they die, and he never lets them win. "It's not that they can't win, they are just not smart enough to win" he wrote at a crime scene once.

Tricks leaves messages at each crime scene, little clues for the game. It is a guessing game. The most recent being "If you can guess what my favorite place is, by tomorrow afternoon, you can find me there to arrest, you get one hint. I feel above the police when I am there. See you soon~ T"

Your character the 'hero' is tasked with stopping Trickster.

Height: 5'6
Hair: Died Green, black at the roots, pulled back into a half up half down, just above his chin in length.

Clothes style: Wears a long sleeved button up shirt under a black vest, slacks, and dress shoes. He wears said things to hide the scars that cover his body.

He enjoys pain, and other people's pain. Tyler however is shy and keeps to himself, he is scared of being judged and people not liking him.
Other: He wants to be caught, but only by someone worthy of catching him.

(Sorry about that wait! Here is my boy!)
Name: Victor Isadore Archeviste
Alias: Eros
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Job: English College Professor by day, hero by night
Appearance
Height: 5'9
Hair: Chocolate brown with highlights of blond from when he used to dye his hair. He doesn't really do much with his hair unless it gets too long and unruly, then he'll attempt to cut his hair himself. His students make fun of his lopsided haircut sometimes and even offer to cut it themselves which, usually, he'll take them up on the offer.
Eye color: Deep amber brown
Clothes style: Since his job requires him to look professional most of the time, Victor usually opts for a loose-fitting button-down and business pants, ditching the suit jacket the moment he's in his classroom since he hates how restricting they are. However, this doesn't always translate to his hero outfits since he does need to prioritize mobility and protection. Most of his hero clothes are black and tighter fitting with thicker padding where he needed that still allowed him to move freely.
Personality: Victor is very reserved due to his double lifestyle. In hindsight it wasn't smart to take up teaching since now he had students and their families to constantly worry about but he genuinely loved teaching. Usually, he's more lax around his students, with a constant undertone of teasing and good-natured taunting alongside his mentorship and guidance that makes him likable among the students and fellow professors alike. Outside of his job, Victor does revert to his more quiet, observant self mostly out of fear of getting too close to anyone and putting them in danger.
Background (optional): Victor grew up in the city most of his life and was constantly around crime. He didn't necessarily have a reason or turning point as to when he started his vigilante work but instead just decided to go out one night and do what he could for the sake of the city he loved so much. Surprisingly to no one, he wasn't very good at being a hero and often found himself half-beat to death multiple times before he started taking training seriously and honing his skills. While still limited, Victor has grown over the past few years and is half the reason why the city's police are doing so well in terms of catching bad guys.
Other: On the rare days off, Victor also teaches classes. music and sometimes performs with the local city orchestra as a cellist

(sure)

"It doesn't make sense." Victor seethed. For the past two hours hours Victor had spent his time at the presinct combing over thousands of files on his favorite little villain. The Trickster aka Tyler Johnathan Matthews. On his day off no less though Victor was starting to figure out heros like him didn't really get days off. He braced himself on the table, glaring down at the various mugshots and social media posts the police had collected over the years, Tyler's hazle green eyes staring right back, tinted with mischief. How many countless times has Victor stared into those same eyes and hoped there was more behind them than just a desire for chaos. Victor gathered the files carefully and neatly put them back into the thick manila folder, needing to clear his head and think without the image of Tyler staring into his soul.
Shoving his hands into his coat pocket, the hero known as Eros exited the presinct into the grey dreary day in the city. He kept his head low, a habit of city born even if he was a hero. He knew when to get into fights and right now in broad daylight wasn't the time. He had less than 15 hours to figure the stupid riddle out and had spent the majority of the day stuck in a presinct staring at photos instead of making progress. On top of that he still had to do work for his day job which he was looking more forward to than this. He inhaled deeply to calm his nerves and tilted his head up so his face was met with cool rain, oddly calming. He opened his eyes and tipped dhis head to the side as he stared straight up at the rooftops above him. I feel above the police when I am there.

Trickster was sitting atop of the police building with his feet hanging off the side. He twirled his knife and ran the flat side across his arm as he thought. He had given them an easy riddle, but then again, he viewed all of the 'hero's' as dumb. He checked his watch, he only had an hour before 'Tyler' had to go to work. How frustrating. Trickster sighed. At least I am not struggling for control, that little twerp would turn us in He stretched his arms above his head before straightening his shirt. He looked down at the street below, waiting.

@Festive_Fenrir

"I'm such an idiot!" All this time he had been scouring surveilence cameras across the city, looking through files to get even a hint of Tyler's favorite haunts, he had even gone as far as searching through plane and helicopter flight schedules to see if his villain really had gone that far and rediculous. He shoved open the doors to the presinct, glaring skyward. Of course Tyler would think himself higher than the police, all criminals seemed to get a big head after a few years and this was no difference. "I need 5 of you on back up he's on the roof." In reality, no he didn't. The police didn't even know half the criminals he had cought without their knowledge, he definitely didn't need their help now but it was at their presinct. Their domain their rules so Victor obliged. He shucked off his coat and climbed the stairs to the roof, 5 officers in tow. "Stay here," he ordered, barely letting them get a word of protest in before shutting the door behind him and walking out on the gravel covered roof. "Nice view." Victor mused casually, shoving his hands into his pocket and letting his gaze rest on Tyler.

@CaseyJ group

Trickster lifted his head after checking his watch. "Are you alone~?" He hummed, looking over his shoulder at Victor with a mischievous grin. "You almost ran out of time. If I did it correctly that is, and I usually do" He smirked, he had a trick up his sleeve, something that should be expected by now.

@Festive_Fenrir

That almost made Victor laugh, almost. Though it did crack the faintest of smiles. "Of course we're not alone. You decided to meet ontop of the police presinct." He shook his head and joined Tyler by the edge of the rooftop, glancing down and watching as more cops gathered below. "Whatever you want to do or say I'd make it quick. They don't particularly like you based on your file and I'm not sure I'm feeling nice enough to let you get away this time." He tipped his head "but I didn't ~" he samg, taking a cautious step back both from the edge and Tyler. "Now is there a reason why we're up here or are we just admiring the view?"

@CaseyJ group

Trickster pulls out a folded piece of paper, "So, my most recent little trick, is probably not dead yet~ So you might have a chance at saving her." He chuckles, standing up, still standing on the edge of the roof. "I'd tell you where it is, but where is the fun in that~?" He sang, twirling his knife with his other hand.

@Festive_Fenrir

Victor eyed the piece of paper, his gaze flicking up to Tyler for a brief moment before he took the note and read it over, passing it over to the officer who had braved the warning and came up behind the hero. "Search the area for hostages, scan the note for fingerprints, trace back the surveillance again, find her." He ordered, ignoring the questioning eyebrow the officer gave him as he retreated. Regardless of being a hero or vigilante or savior of the city, whatever name the citizens wanted to grace Victor with, he was not the commissioner. He wasn't even a part of the hero organization the city had established. But Tyler had always been Victor to deal with, regardless of what heroes have tried to take him on. "What's the point of all this?" He asked, shoving his hands in his coat pocket and slowly moving back towards the roof door. "Other than fun or boredom or whatever shpiel you villains want to spew. Why do you really do this?"

@CaseyJ group

Trickster walked along the edge of the roof, looking moments away from falling. The note had an address and then some directions on it, a scavenger hunt of sorts, he was not worried about the fingerprints, as he always wore black gloves. He grinned at Victor, "See, I could live a normal life, working a boring job, as he Wishes I would. But~ I like blood. I like watching people squirm in pain. I like watching them beg for life as I take theirs" He laughs.

@Festive_Fenrir

Victor had become accustomed to the grandiose and often violent perspectives villains saw themselves in. They were relieving the world of unwanted people, they had a knack for slitting throats or just had some severe anger issues that were resolved conveniently with a knife. There hadn't been any explanation that really surprised him. Trickster's was no different but Victor couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment. As if looking for a reason to justify the villain's actions. Anything to find the humanity buried within. To find Tyler. Victor had been aware of the split personality for a while now, even before he had read the countless files on the infamous Trickster. He had seen the pleading glint in his eyes, or the moments of hesitation before Trickster took another life but by now it was hard to feel anything but a sense of duty to keep the city safe from a clear danger. "You still can. You could at least try instead of playing games with people's lives." Victor offered halfheartedly, already anticipating rejection and claiming that he was happy with his violent lifestyle.

Trickster paused, seeming to be lost for a moment before Tyler turned to look at Victor, fear and confusion in his eyes, he seemed lost. He wasn't aware his counterpart had caused more chaos, and had expected to be behind the counter at the cafe, working as he was supposed to be. He looked down at the ground far away, and his fear of heights made his head swim, then he started to lose his balance, still standing on the edge of the roof.

@Festive_Fenrir

Victor had turned away from the edge, ready to head back downstairs and help find the missing woman. That was until a guard yanked on his coat sleeve and jerked his chin back to where Trickster stood. Victor was already shoving him off and dismissing him, "We have no real grounds for arresting him unless we find the woman first." He explained, brows furrowing when the guard shook his head and pointed again to Trickster, "He's about to fall off, boss. Should we do something?" Now that did have Victor whirling around and immediately making eye contact with Tyler, a newfound fear and confusion in his villain's eyes. "I was wondering when you'd step back in." He muttered, slowly raising his hands to show that he was unarmed before he slowly approached. "Let me guess? The same as last time? You were working one minute and the next you find yourself up here without any recollection of what happened in between?" He asked, cautiously offering a gloved hand to help Tyler down from the ledge. "Funnily enough, you're alter ego had the bright idea of bringing you to the precinct. Well, to its roof but I supposed that's one in the same." he continued, keeping his voice gentle. despite everything, Victor admitted to having a soft spot for Tyler, wanting to desperately believe the young man who was just confused in his own body, and wanting to help in any way he could, to give him any sliver of a chance at one day having a normal life.

@CaseyJ group

Tyler quickly took Victor's hand, he moved so quickly he fell against Victor, his face turning slightly red in embarrassment. "I- I… s-sorry…" He muttered. As Trickster he stood tall and proud, as Tyler he seemed shy, nervous, and not sure what to do with himself. "h-how do y-you know about T?" He asked, using the nickname he had giving Trickster.

@Festive_Fenrir

Victor shook his head but struggled to say anything back. What could he say? That what Tyler had done was alright? It clearly wasn't. And despite everything, Tyler had to take responsibility for his actions whether he was fully aware of them. To the public and everyone else, he was behind all these murders and kidnappings. They could care less what mental disorder or alter ego he had as long as they had someone to blame. Victor took a deep breath and guided Tyler away from the edge of the building. "Let's just say he has a very signature way of making himself known." He muttered, stopping Tyler a few feet from the door and handcuffing his hands behind his back. "For now we're keeping you and therefore Trickster in custody." He explained even as it broke Victor a little having to hand over Tyler to the police. He took a deep breath and recited Tyler's rights, explaining that he'd be held at the precinct for further questioning, even if Victor was unnecessary, and that a lawyer would be hired for him if he so chose to need one. It was also arranged that a psychiatrist would evaluate Tyler for DID and any further mental diagnosis. "I'll let your job know you're taking a leave," Victor reassured, as small and insignificant as that may have seemed. He didn't want what normalcy Tyler had worked so hard for to go to waste. He took a step back as police closed in, wishing he could do more for the other but this was in the police's hands now. Victor had no part here, hero as he was, save for when it conveniences them both.
