Did anyone else get into writing as a means to engage with some sort of fandom? Like you start with one totally obscure and seemingly out of nowhere like…"I like the way these two tv show characters banter, but the premise of the show is boring, what if I took the fun relationship dynamic that I like and just transplant it into a more engaging setting." And then you're writing thirty thousand words you'll never be able to use And now you're writing your own stories to make up for the ones you wished you could have read when you were younger?
