Hey hey, hope you're doing better :) Sorry to hear you've been having it rough! I have anxiety too, it's no fun :/

A bunch of stuff about Paint:
Paint has a bunch of like, 3 to 8 year old cousins he doesn't get to see very often, who all LOVE to bombard him with their scribbles they call art, because he always makes a big deal out of them and hangs them on his bedroom wall.
His best friend is a grumpity jackal named Ashurbanipal, or Ashur/Ashurban, who is probably chaotic evil. Paint is chaotic good, and the two adore each other so very much.
He loves making cards for people with his calligraphy skills, and is pretty dang good~
Snakes are his second favorite animal
Jumpin' on y'all's "pretty boy" train, he gets called that a lot lol
He loves blue feathers.
Three words to describe: "Charismatic spoiled handicap"
He loves everyone, very genuinely.
Loooves early morning sun. Always up at dawn.
His bed back home has a bunch of nicks in the wooden frame: As he's aged, he's never quite learned how sharp his horns are, nor how far they stick out. There's a reason he usually wears horn caps. He doesn't want to stab someone with them.
His room is full of childhood paraphernalia: dolls, stuffed animals, toys, all vestiges of his childhood.
He's terrified of slippery surfaces. He will creep as slowly as he can across them.
He's never seen snow before.
When he's just alone in his bedroom, he can be found sprawled across his bed, on his stomach, propped up on his elbows, twitching his tail and kicking his legs as he writes with his quill, or reads of people going on adventures far, far away. On his back, eyes closed, imagining himself as a mighty hero with no disability, finding his family all whole and well, learning how to control his magic and becoming a powerful sorcerer that people came to for help. Standing by the desk, sketching out a quick idea for a tattoo he’s going to get as soon as his family has no control over him anymore. Tying a new ribbon around his horn, trading out a tail piercing to try something new, tiredly combing his long hair for the thousandth time.
When he's at a party, he's a whirlwind, dancing with a stranger, talking in a corner with an acquaintance, draped over a couch, snuggling with close friends. Navigating the space gracefully and confidently, fetching snacks and drinks for his shy friends, reaching out to the wall flowers, laughing with the party’s soul. Meeting new people, bonding with old friends, maybe finding a dazzling stranger to spin away the night with. Drinking, living, always staying at the top of his game, never too drunk to think or dance properly, never too forward to turn anyone off.

Jax absolutely adores her captain, and is constantly cuddling with him. Studying anatomy has given her a decent grasp on how to draw people, so in her free time, she draws her friends. She also loves candy and plushies, and keeps a collection of things that remind her of her friends. Each piece of the collection is labelled, and it's all stored under her bed. She often uses them to comfort her friends if needed.

Peregrine has soft spots for exactly 4 people, her friend, Teigi, her girlfriend, Estella, and her two fathers, they're the only people she'd ever allow to hug her. She secretly enjoys their hugs, but she'd never admit it. Fortunately, Estella's caught on to it, and provides her with all the hugs she needs.

Tori's the mom friend, and if one of her friends gets sick or injured, she'll stay by their side and not leave until they're better. A few times she actually got sick herself from this. She also loves training new recruits to the Revolutionary Army, especially the younger ones, as she has a soft spot for kids, and sometimes gives them treats.

Azami has two beds on the ship, her own in the girl's quarters, and one in the boy's quarters that she can use if she wants to be closer to her brother. She usually ends up sleeping in the boy's quarters, and usually alongside her brother. If any of her friends are feeling down, she'll carve them a wooden figure to cheer them up. She gave her first-ever friend a carving, and he wore it as a necklace for the 10 years they were separated.

every year in the wintertime the main "gang" likes to go ice skating in the old town part of their city. here's a fact about Alex and Tristan, goth and rainbow boyfriends, during this time: since Tristan never learned how to skate, Alex has to support him and help him, which is the complete opposite of their conventional relationship dynamic.

more facts about conner because he's an absolute bean and i love him:

i actually made a 3d model of his bedroom ! it's based on the room i had as a tiny child and is usually messier than pictured, with watercolors and newspaper spread out on the floor. he also has strings of fairy lights hung across his ceiling in zigzags
when he's in his room you can either find him painting on the floor; playing mc on his laptop or animal crossing on his 3ds; or reading (usually on the bed, with his cat next to him)
his natural body heat is warmer than average. if someone (esp Faith) snuggles with him they fall asleep quite quickly, and on chilly days he's usually got his arm around at least one person to help keep them warm
his hair is very soft. like unbelievably fluffy. it's a combination of the conditioner he uses and the fact that he constantly runs his fingers through it during the day. Faith usually ends up playing with it during their sleepovers or if they're ever sitting together

Omggggg skating is something my characters done a couple times, rollor and ice. Some got the hang of it. Some got a hang of scratches and bruises lol!
As a person with dyslexia (it's only sometimes a problem, I've mostly grown out of it, but it still sometimes sucks.) Faith is loved <3
I absolutely adore Conner, steals child his bedroom is so cool looking, that's like impressive it loaded on my kindle lol

Sky has become the designated babysitter for all of her friend's kids.
Sometimes Clara just walks around the house and sings. Abyss watches her, and it's one of the few things that puts a smile on her face.
Bramble proposed to Ember using sign language. Ember signed yes.
Plasma always uses her wings to cover her girlfriend when they sleep together. Nyx will never admit it, but it feels right to her.
Even though they're king and queen, Galaxy and Tenebris sometimes skip council meetings just to have some time alone together. They often fly around the mountains.
Dove paints. Sometimes she paints her girlfriend. Sometimes she paints mountains. She's not very good at painting, but Sky keeps every single one.
Opal likes to make jewelry with her mother. She isn't very good at it, but Crystal had designated part of her shop (and jewelry box) to the pieces Opal makes. They actually sell pretty well.
After she married Azuria, Jade retired. She now travels the world with her wife, and has decided that killing isn't really her style anymore.
Magma can't cook to save his life, but when Mara's too busy to make anything, he sometimes tries. Mara pretends to be angry when he burns something, but she secretly loves it when he tries to be helpful. It melts her heart.
Lympha brings Iska to council meetings. She knows it annoys the hell out of Thyme, which is why she keeps doing it.
Galaxy bounces on her toes when she's excited. It can get very chaotic.
Tenebris is a very good singer but doesn't like to do it. Only Galaxy, Wynter, Luna, and Sarua can get him to sing, mostly in lullabies for the girls.
Bramble is the clumsiest of my characters.
No ones still sure what the Mango Incident is. Bramble's never told anyone. Ivy hasn't either. It's their biggest secret, and it'll probably go to the grave with them.

Kekoa owns nine cats and is always sleepy
When they go to cons, Rubi is always off the walls with excitement and practically drags Kekoa around with her while he plays games on his 3ds or whatever device he has with him
Caelan is a fashion designer and because she wants to appeal to all types of people including guys who like to wear skirts and dresses and whatever, she has her fiancée Malachi try certain outfits on and does photoshoots with him(Malachi feels awkward and insecure while doing this, but he would do anything for his fiancée)

Calin likes to sit in meadows and make flower crowns(it helps him relax and stay focused, he has ADHD), he also tries teaching his boyfriend, Akuma, how to make them but he's awful at it
Taiko calls her wife, Miyana(she's a Nereid!), Little Fish
Of course Miyana also has a nickname for her wife and that's: My Beautiful Sky (Taiko is an Aurai!)
When Miyana and Taiko got married, Calin was a bridesman and he cried a lot
Calin also happened to catch the bouquet and his sole reason for catching it was so he could press the flowers and eventually give the pressed flowers to the newly weds on their first anniversary. This being said, about 2 months after the wedding, Calin met Akuma and a year after that they started dating(Calin flirted with Akuma constantly and Akuma occasionally flirted back so it was definitely bound to happen)
Miyana and Taiko have two adopted children named Tris(15) and Bland(13). Tris was found in a terrible town in an alleyway, crying because his father kicked him out for being gay. They took him in and almost 9 months later, they surprised him with adoption papers. Bland had been found in the trunk of a tree when she was 8 and they eagerly took her in because they wanted a child and Bland had nowhere else to go.

Ivy outwardly pretends to not have any jewelry, but she actually has a bead necklace given to her by her sister Esther, which she wears every single day. It has an ivy leaf on it, representing Ivy's power, and a whale, representing Esther. They're her favorite animal, and whenever Ivy sees a picture of one, she thinks of Esther.
Jordan never shows it, but has an amazing memory. He remembers all the little things people like, hate, or find interesting. He uses this to make people happy: by giving the best gifts.
When he's around Ivy, he gets really flustered, and ends up pretending to be interested in a tiny flower on the ground or something. Everyone assumes Ivy is really oblivious, but she's noticed. She just hasn't worked up the courage to acknowledge it yet.

Random cute facts I guess:
Adrian (and Valentin) likes being pushed on swings. Even if he is a grown man, it's always fun when someone is there with him.
Rafi: Rafi goes out of his way to take care of strangers. During "homecoming", he risks his life to ensure that everyone in the village is safe indoors before taking care of himself.
Isadore: Isadore is really bad at writing in his native tongue but wants to get better. He probably writes poems and then gets upset when they don't sound as good.
Irakles is scared of the dark.
Valentin: Valentin loves theatre and literature. It's not a secret or anything but he probably doesn't want his party to know in fear they won't take him serious.
Ilfred, no matter how much he wants to, can't antagonize Adrian. He's incredibly loyal and wants to see that he gets the help he needs.
Creake: Creake loves music and especially loves the drum
Esa: Esa is really bad at hide and seek but plays it because Haque seems to like it.
Haque: They only play hide and seek because Esa seems to like it.
Dyaah: Is secretly amused by Esa and Haque's decade long match of hide and seek.
The Little Fox Girl: She enjoys piggy back rides.

Jasmine Nicholson

Whenever Mathew see Ernest smile, while it chills him to the bone it makes him happy to see his husband smile since he suffers from SSD (severe suicidal depression.) The joy in Ernest's face whenever he holds or talks to their adopted baby (11 months) it makes him smile (Ernest has had 3 miscarriages in the past.)
Whenever Ernest heard Mathew giggle or blush, Ernest feels warm inside and reminds him that Mathew isn't scared of him (Mathew suffers from PTSD from an abusive relationship, and has attempted suicide at age 16.) Seeing Mathew's eyes light up whenever Ernest gives him a piece of chocolate makes him laugh and smile.

P.S. I hope you feel better soon. While I don't know what you are going through I can imagine what it feels like. I am giving you all my positive vibes and well wishes I hope your day/afternoon/night is good and ends well. 😁

Universe 1
Thita is maintaining her large family’s tradition of having a “family” dinner every Saturday, and by “family”, i mean literally everyone is invited. Everyone in the city has been to at least one “family” dinner.
Togo, the king of heckin’ Yria(the continent) makes sure to attend as many family dinners as he can, even though he isn’t related to Thita in any way, shape, or form.
Azurite, Thita’s daughter, is not particularly good at drawing, but still draws a lot, and likes to show off her drawings during family dinners for approval. Togo always makes a big show of how amazing he thinks Azurite’s art is.
Azurite’s cousin Jamie has anxiety and doesn’t talk or open up much. He likes to draw, and is really good at it. Azurite took up drawing to get him to open up to her more. It worked. He now gets happy and excited when ever he gets the opportunity to see her.
Desmond is ultimate mom/dad friend. He is prepped for everything. You got food stained on your shirt? He has 3 shirts in your size in his locker, you can borrow one. You didn’t eat a lunch today? Here, he packed five lunches today anyways, take your pick.

Universe 2
Cixin likes to paint. The first thing he does in his new home is paint a giant heckin’ mural on the wall. When Sebastian comes to check on him, Cixin makes him and his only other friend, Akilah, dip their hands in paint buckets and put a handprint on the wall.
Sebastian likes to program robots in his spare time. The first thing he programmed a robot to do(in his spare time, not his first ever program) was make do a little dance.
Simon has a pet duckling he hatched from an egg named cupcake.

Universe 3
There’s a magic li’l birdy named Soup that if you cuddle, it makes you feel better(if you are sick or in pain. Mental pain counts too.)
Liam, despite trying to be scary, is the definition of looks like could kill you, is actually a cinnamon roll. He has a habit of catching frogs, holding them for a little bit(no one knows why. Not even him), and then letting them go. The first time he did it, he was, what, 3? 4? And he cried, because when he showed it to his what is essentially his mother, but she didn’t birth him and he doesn’t call her mom, she said that he just snatched it out of it’s home and life. He stopped crying when she told him everything would be fine if he just let him go, it’s just a froggo. Thus began his random catch and release policy.
Liam volunteers at a public library and reads aloud to little kids during story time.
Liam grew up in a huge family. All the snuggles. If he ever went home(it’s not that they’re dead or he hates them, he just can’t find them), he’d be greeted with a heckin’ avalanche of hugs and relatives.

Edit: I feel the need to say that both Simon and Desmond are scary looking punks, which makes Cupcake even more special. Liam isn’t punk, exactly, but he’s very…. scary looking?? Giant scar over his right eye, frequent glares. Scary dude.

Can I just say, this thread is amazing, here's my bit:

When Adisa has panic attacks, the only thing that always calms her down is Flora. If Flo isn't around, Adisa carries her perfume with her so she can spray it and that helps. She also fidgets with her necklace all the time. It's a silver cross, and even though she isn't religious, it comforts her because it was a gift from her dad.

Haven always makes fun of Flo because she doesn't smoke very often, so when she does she has major coughing fits. Haven always tries to teach her how to do tricks like smoke rings and stuff but Flo can never manage to not cough long enough to even attempt them.

Uri knows Adisa has always wanted to go to the Netherlands to visit the tulip fields, so one of my favorite scenes I've written up to this point is the one where he takes her there. He even finds a way for them to stay the night and sleep in the flowers, under the stars. He's always picking up on the little things about her, because even though he'll never admit it, he can kinda read minds. Not fully but he gets kinda- like vibes.

Fiona lowkey knows Flora likes girls (Fiona is Flo's mom) and she drops subtle hints about it all the time. She doesn't want to pressure her, but she wants her to know she's there for her no matter what. Sends Flo a lesbian tiktok in the middle of class

Haven compulsively compliments people. Like if she sees a girl from all the way across the mall and she likes her hair, she has to go over there and tell her.

Like I said previously, Uri can detect vibes from people, and he's always doing sweet little things for everyone. Like one day, Flora wanted chinese food but she didn't have time because she had cheer practice, when she came home, Uri had left her all of her favorite foods from her favorite chinese place. The next morning: "Thanks for the eggrolls. I needed that"

Haven always makes sure she's close to Flo. Even if she's at cheer practice, she'll go somewhere nearby in case she's needed. She'll pretend she had something to do at the school if she's ever spotted.

Scott and Fiona have a date night at least once a month. There's never any telling how long they'll be gone.

When Flo is stressed or upset, Haven will use incense to cleanse her room and do a bunch of crystal healing things. Even though Flo doesn't really believe in any of that, it always helps. She thinks it's simply because she knows Haven cares, and that makes her feel better.

Luc is obsessed with tiny things. He has a bunch of fairy houses and tiny things to go in them. He spews any time he sees things like that. You can often find him online shopping for mini trinkets to further adorn his collection.
He's also in love with Flo, but he knows she likes girls so he tries to be very careful because he doesn't wanna make her uncomfortable. It's so cute because he tries to get close to her all the time but then something will click in him and he suddenly starts acting different. Not mean, just very platonic. He sets aside his feeling to make sure that she's okay.

I'll add more if i remember any! This is only from one of my books so- I'll probably add more later :)

Universe 1
Thita is maintaining her large family’s tradition of having a “family” dinner every Saturday, and by “family”, i mean literally everyone is invited. Everyone in the city has been to at least one “family” dinner.
Togo, the king of heckin’ Yria(the continent) makes sure to attend as many family dinners as he can, even though he isn’t related to Thita in any way, shape, or form.
Azurite, Thita’s daughter, is not particularly good at drawing, but still draws a lot, and likes to show off her drawings during family dinners for approval. Togo always makes a big show of how amazing he thinks Azurite’s art is.
Azurite’s cousin Jamie has anxiety and doesn’t talk or open up much. He likes to draw, and is really good at it. Azurite took up drawing to get him to open up to her more. It worked. He now gets happy and excited when ever he gets the opportunity to see her.
Desmond is ultimate mom/dad friend. He is prepped for everything. You got food stained on your shirt? He has 3 shirts in your size in his locker, you can borrow one. You didn’t eat a lunch today? Here, he packed five lunches today anyways, take your pick.

Universe 2
Cixin likes to paint. The first thing he does in his new home is paint a giant heckin’ mural on the wall. When Sebastian comes to check on him, Cixin makes him and his only other friend, Akilah, dip their hands in paint buckets and put a handprint on the wall.
Sebastian likes to program robots in his spare time. The first thing he programmed a robot to do(in his spare time, not his first ever program) was make do a little dance.
Simon has a pet duckling he hatched from an egg named cupcake.

Universe 3
There’s a magic li’l birdy named Soup that if you cuddle, it makes you feel better(if you are sick or in pain. Mental pain counts too.)
Liam, despite trying to be scary, is the definition of looks like could kill you, is actually a cinnamon roll. He has a habit of catching frogs, holding them for a little bit(no one knows why. Not even him), and then letting them go. The first time he did it, he was, what, 3? 4? And he cried, because when he showed it to his what is essentially his mother, but she didn’t birth him and he doesn’t call her mom, she said that he just snatched it out of it’s home and life. He stopped crying when she told him everything would be fine if he just let him go, it’s just a froggo. Thus began his random catch and release policy.
Liam volunteers at a public library and reads aloud to little kids during story time.
Liam grew up in a huge family. All the snuggles. If he ever went home(it’s not that they’re dead or he hates them, he just can’t find them), he’d be greeted with a heckin’ avalanche of hugs and relatives.

I’m trying to say a couple things to everyone so:

Can I just say, this thread is amazing, here's my bit:

When Adisa has panic attacks, the only thing that always calms her down is Flora. If Flo isn't around, Adisa carries her perfume with her so she can spray it and that helps. She also fidgets with her necklace all the time. It's a silver cross, and even though she isn't religious, it comforts her because it was a gift from her dad.

Haven always makes fun of Flo because she doesn't smoke very often, so when she does she has major coughing fits. Haven always tries to teach her how to do tricks like smoke rings and stuff but Flo can never manage to not cough long enough to even attempt them.

Uri knows Adisa has always wanted to go to the Netherlands to visit the tulip fields, so one of my favorite scenes I've written up to this point is the one where he takes her there. He even finds a way for them to stay the night and sleep in the flowers, under the stars. He's always picking up on the little things about her, because even though he'll never admit it, he can kinda read minds. Not fully but he gets kinda- like vibes.

Fiona lowkey knows Flora likes girls (Fiona is Flo's mom) and she drops subtle hints about it all the time. She doesn't want to pressure her, but she wants her to know she's there for her no matter what. Sends Flo a lesbian tiktok in the middle of class

Haven compulsively compliments people. Like if she sees a girl from all the way across the mall and she likes her hair, she has to go over there and tell her.

Like I said previously, Uri can detect vibes from people, and he's always doing sweet little things for everyone. Like one day, Flora wanted chinese food but she didn't have time because she had cheer practice, when she came home, Uri had left her all of her favorite foods from her favorite chinese place. The next morning: "Thanks for the eggrolls. I needed that"

Haven always makes sure she's close to Flo. Even if she's at cheer practice, she'll go somewhere nearby in case she's needed. She'll pretend she had something to do at the school if she's ever spotted.

Scott and Fiona have a date night at least once a month. There's never any telling how long they'll be gone.

When Flo is stressed or upset, Haven will use incense to cleanse her room and do a bunch of crystal healing things. Even though Flo doesn't really believe in any of that, it always helps. She thinks it's simply because she knows Haven cares, and that makes her feel better.

Luc is obsessed with tiny things. He has a bunch of fairy houses and tiny things to go in them. He spews any time he sees things like that. You can often find him online shopping for mini trinkets to further adorn his collection.
He's also in love with Flo, but he knows she likes girls so he tries to be very careful because he doesn't wanna make her uncomfortable. It's so cute because he tries to get close to her all the time but then something will click in him and he suddenly starts acting different. Not mean, just very platonic. He sets aside his feeling to make sure that she's okay.

I'll add more if i remember any! This is only from one of my books so- I'll probably add more later :)

Yeah maybe a little- lolol I love them because they have a lot of myself incorporated into them, as many of my characters do. And I would hope so, they're very lovable, I think. And yes, Fiona is THE BEST.

I don’t know how cute these are, but they make me go awe or make me feel bubbly inside. So, Imma just put them here. (There are things Jax and Gwen do together that I forget to write down, I'll add them if I remember)

Bane:
Bane, since he is a Hellhound, is like a puppy and will show affection with cuddles and nose nuzzles. He also stresses when his boyfriend is sick.

Bane likes to annoy Slate by calling him his Angel boy. Slate returns this with playfully calling him Wolf boy or Death dog

Bane sometimes manifests his tail to cover his eyes with the tuft at the end while he sleeps and even sleeps in wolf form.

Bane will sing lullabies softly to himself and Slate

Bane was given an angel food cake (Or something like it. Idk, Bane can’t have heavily processed food, but I think angel food cake is okay) for the first time on his 25th birthday in 2015. He was ecstatic.

Bane’s favorite memory is back in 2014 when Slate first introduced him to snow. He says it was strange and fluffy. He enjoys it, it’s fun to play in :3

When asked certain questions, he’ll follow up with Slate says that or Slate says so. He’s a bit out of tune with human life

Jules:
Jules is like the warden of his infirmary and won’t let anyone leave until they feel 70%. To which, he releases them to lay in their own bed.

Jules is said to smell like milkweed

Jules refuses to see someone suffer. He is very soft-hearted

Jax:
Jax feels rainy nights are the best time to cuddle up with a warm blanket and read a book. He’ll usually have chamomile tea with him sitting on a nightstand. It's something he does during his needed alone time

Jax calls Gwen by the nicknames Gwennie or Angel (He calls her angel because she helped him through a lot)

Jax chews on things during stressful situations or when just feeling general anxiety. Many of these things include pens, pencils, hoodie strings, nails, and lip. Sometimes, Gwen will give him stuff to fidget with instead of chewing on everything chewable

Gwen:
Gwen will dance with Jax when his insomnia is bad

Gwen will run and hug Jax, nearly knocking him off his feet

When Jax excuses himself for some alone time, usually to expel bottled emotions, Gwen will give it some time then go console him

Gwen worries about her two boys, Val and Jax, 24/7 because of their health (Jax has PTSD and Valrian has Epilepsy). Even though they reassure her, she doesn't really listen

Val:
Valerian has big-time golden retriever energy

Ender:

Ender calls people chéri (Male)/ Chérie (Female) (Chéri/Chérie is French for darling) (I think it’s adorable)

Isen:
Isen is blind in one eye. His depth perception is terrible, and balance can be very off. Randomly, you can hear him counting his steps like a young child. Even when he got used to being blind in the eye, he’ll still count softly to himself when walking distances.
