i really want to write a story with fantasy characteristics, but I have no idea what the plot would/should be. Help please

What fantasy elements are thinking of?

What kind of time period do you want to set it in? (ex: modern fantasy, medieval fantasy)
Do you have a specific place in mind? Does it exist in the real world, or is it going to be made up?
Are there any characters you already have? Who's the main protagonist and antagonist? What's the main conflict?

(Just trying to come up with some basic questions - hope this helps :))
