A supernatural creature is targeted by hunters, wanting to capture or kill the creature for one reason or another. But the creature discovers a way to protect themselves- binding a reaper to themselves for protection.

So that’s just a basic intro that we will kind of go off of. I made this because I have a Reaper character that I am in the mood to use. This will obviously have fantasy themes, and definitely some romance.

Guidelines:

  • Rated R/MA for possible violence and gore, profanity, and sexual situations (will be taken to PM though).
  • LGBTQ+ is accepted (even preferred for this!).
  • Characters can have abilities/powers/be other races, but please try not to be too OP.
    Please be literate, can’t stress that enough!

Here is my character, Thatcher. If anyone is interested, shoot me a message!! Literally obsessed with the reaper thing and this character
~~~~~~~~~~
Name: Thatcher Wain.
Age: 1200 years old, though in human years would be considered about 24.
Gender: Male.
Sexuality: Pansexual (preference for males).
Race: Caucasian, appears to be of French descent.
Species: Reaper
Appearance: (based off of https://www.instagram.com/shane.emmerson/ during the period of when he had his hair dyed white/platinum blonde). Has a scythe tattoo on his upper and inner right forearm, various scars across his skin from past injuries, and most notably, a large group of burn scars on almost his entire back and parts of his sides/ribcage. He stands at around 6'2 with a toned and slender build. Clothing wise, he is usually dressed professionally (as all Reapers are required to do) with a black button down top, black slacks, black dress shoes, and a black trench coat. On a more casual note, he would usually wear any color of sweatshirts and joggers with a pair of sneakers. with both of those outfits, he usually wears various silver rings, silver necklaces/chains, and different earrings. Bird wise, he is able to morph into a murder of crows.
Personality: More on the ambiverted sided of the spectrum. He is easy to talk to when first meeting, and while it takes a bit for him to open up and get deep, after doing so, he can freely be chatty and honest. He tends to be polite to most (except those he is sent to kill) and can almost seem motherly at times, He appears to be intimidating, but it is much more of an act, as he is really a kind hearted and tender individual under the façade he puts up. He tends to be more dominant with most, taking lead of conversation and other things, but under the right circumstances, he is comfortable being more relaxed and submissive with others. He is protective and clingy with his loved ones, and when his loyalty and trust is gained, he tends to be a 'ride or die' type of individual.
Likes: Nature, birds, Nike (more on her below), silver items, close friendships and other relationships, and listening to other's stories.
Dislikes: Deep water, sinners, large flames, and car rides.
Bio: Thatcher first came into existence around 1200 years ago. Around 500 years ago, he was caught up in the Salem Witch trials, and because people believed him to be a witch, those people caught him and tried to burn him at the stake (causing the burn wounds on his body). When that didn't work, they attempted to drown him, but he escaped and left to heal from his wounds and trauma. During that time (around 400 years ago), he came across an abandoned, runt of the litter hell hound. He took in the starving pup and raised her until the present. He gave her the name Nike. To human eyes, she takes the form of a black and brown doberman with cropped ears and tail. To non-humans, she appears similar- the only differences being that her eyes are a fiery red, her paws appear to be set aflame, and she has a long devils tail. In current times, he resides in the area he was assigned to find and dispose of those who have committed horrifying sins against others around them (ex: mass murders, sex trafficking, etc.)
Other: He isn't easily identified by those around him, and seems to be close to human by appearance. On a different note, when Nike is in her hound state, those who would be considered human cannot see her with the naked eye, but she can be seen by all in her human state.
Information About my Style of Reaper
Basics
Reapers are ancient beings that live to be around 4000 years old. They age very slowly, which we will see in my character. They are usually found in a certain designated sector that they are unable to leave. Reapers find themselves hunted, because the blood of a Reaper is a white gold like substance that is considered to e very valuable. They are also forcefully Bound to people for the person’s wishes (will explain below).
Abilities
They are able to kill those (usually sinners) and heal others (usually innocents nad non sinners). Though they cannot do it as often as they please and to anyone. They stick to their designated sector. Names will appear on a slip of paper that they all carry, and whether the person should be killed or healed. After a Reaper completes this job, they will cross out the name and be assigned a new one. A Reaper cna also shift into a certain flock of birds, which helps them to travel. They are unable to do this for long periods of time, though. They will also be given a certain weapon that they can take from a tattoo on their body, but the weapon is made of the metal that can kill them.
Binding a Reaper
This is important to remember for this role play. Reapers can be summoned using a very specific spell and symbol. Once that is read, they are immediatly bound to that certain person. The person is able to write the names of who they want healed or killed on the slip of paper, and the Reaper would be forced to complete the task. For a Reaper, it is considered a form of slavery.
How to Trap/Injure/Kill a Reaper
To trap a Reaper requires a symbol drawn that the stand in. If there is a break in the symbol, though, they can get free. To injure or kill a Reaper, it requires a certain metal. They can still get basic wounds that would kill a human, but it would not kill them. If you strike them with the metal good enough, it will kill them. They can be also injured by hurting an innocent. Either way, they will be punished or killed by the high counsel for killing anyone without permission. But if they were to grab an innocent, for example, in a forceful way, the Reaper will be severely burnt on the hand.
(I hope he works)
Name: Avdey Vorozheykina
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Appearance-
Eyes) Golden brown, but if he goes without blood, they'll get a red tint to them, and eventually, if he goes long enough, they'll turn fully red
Hair) Ash Brown with a slightly wavy texture
Skin) Naturally, his skin is a light peachy color, but if he goes too long without blood, the color will slowly fade from his skin until he's white as a sheet of paper
Height) 5'9"
Weight) 186lbs
Body Type) Lean with narrow shoulders, chest and waist
Race- Vampire
Animal Form Description) It's a vampire bat, the fur is the same color as his hair, with a white chest and stomach
Special Race Ability) He has incredible hearing (that he can turn on and off), he can hear anything within about 100ft radius, he can also focus his hearing on specific things, the downside is he gets a really bad migraine when he uses this ability too much.
Race Weakness) Garlic (Obviously)
Race Clan) The Vorozheykina Clan. This clan is the second most powerful Russian Vampire Clan, giving Avsey plenty of instantaneous popularity at school
Personality: Avdey is usually a calm, collected young man, rarely showing much emotion about anything. He has excellent control over himself, never letting his emotions take control. Most of the time. Avdey has some anger issues, everything's fine unless he gets angry, it's then that he'll lose control. It's times like these where he loses control of his bloodlust, which can be dangerous for the person he's mad at.
Avdey already finds it difficult to control the bloodlust of his nature, so add getting mad easily on top of that and you can bet he's had triple problems. If you take away the anger, he's a nice guy, loyal and gentle. When he's bonded with someone, he'll go down swinging for them. He's also honest, if he messed up, he'll let you know.
Likes:
-Reading; He loves the world's books can make, and he loves it when he can bond and understand the character, and he also enjoys deep, descriptive books that make him feel like he's actually there as the story's taking place.
-Quiet Places; If it's quiet, and no one's there, he can't get mad. This also helps with his sensitive hearing, even if he can turn it on and off, when it's off, it can still be pretty sensitive.
-Fighting; No, he doesn't like antagonizing people and starting fights, but he does like sparijg. He finds it an excellent way to take out his anger.
Dislikes:
-Bening Interrupted; This dude hates Interruptions, when he's talking, reading, or doing anything else, if you want him mad at you, then just do that.
-Loud Places; They cause him bad migraines so he avoids them like the plague
-Sirins; Their unnaturally beautiful singing voices put him on edge, and he also avoids them, he doesn't feel like going underwater, even if he can't technically drown.
Fears:
-That he will never be able control his bloodlust and become the classic vampire that mortals fear.
-Garlic; If he invests it, it can make him really sick.
-Spiders; They scare the carp out of him. He'll scream like a girl if he sees one.
Conditions-
Mental) Anger Management Issues
Physical) N/A
Background:
@Desvelarse pets
Thatcher was having a relaxing day. Was. He had no job that day and had opted to spend it outside with Nike, his hellhound. She bounded ahead of him on a wooded trail, tongue hanging out of her mouth. She was currently on the hunt for something to eat, and he felt bad for whatever little animal would be her meal.
Thatcher had paused momentarily, beginning to feel strange. His head began to ache and he felt slightly lightheaded. Nike seemed to notice quickly and ran back to him, whining softly. That didn’t matter, because in an instant, he was seemingly zapped away. Nike was left alone and clearly panicked, howling and barking as she began to track where Thatcher had gone.
Thatcher had no idea where he had gone either. One minute he was on the trail, the next he was on the floor on his knees. He looked down, and saw a sigil drawn on the floor. A Reapers Trap. He wouldn’t be able to set foot outside of it. His eyes widened and he dug into his pocket, looking for his slip of paper that would have the names of people he was to kill/heal on it. Not there. It would be found in the pocket of whoever had summoned, trapped and bound him. His gaze raised to whoever it was that he was now bound to. “What have you done?!”
@RhysTheFirebird group
Avdey was having a shitty day. He’d needed a snack and had taken a small bite out of some mortal, only to have to run for his life. He’d been running for the past few days and he was getting tired of it. So he’d holed up in some abandoned warehouse and decided to bind a Reaper to himself. It was a stupid and selfish idea, he’s not usually the kind of guy to do something like that. But desperate times calls for desperate measures. He’d figure out a way to make it up to the Reaper. But for now. . .
He finishes the binding circle and stands outside of it. He stares at it for long moments before summoning the Reaper. The circle starts to glow softly as the spell starts and after long moments, there’s a reaper in front of him. ”What have you done?!”
Avdey has no clue. He just did one of the worst things he could have possibly done to the person. He was a shitty person. There was no reason he needed to take his shitty week out on someone else right?
“I’m sorry. . . It was an impulsive thought?”
Where those literally the first words out of his mouth?
@Desvelarse pets
Thatcher was dumbfounded by the reply from the man who he now served. An impulsive thought? To him, an impulsive thought was cutting his hair differently or getting a sudden piercing out of the blue. Not binding another creature to yourself. He reached out, fingers brushing over the edge of the sigil to see what would happen. A searing pain was felt shooting from his fingertips, up his arm and down his spine. He yelped like a wounded animal, jerking his hand back. He pushed himself to his feet, now standing at his full height. He easily towered over the man in front of him.
“Why?” Thatcher breathed out, feeling defeated in a way. “What’s so terrible that this was what you had to resort to?”
He had only been bound one other time. That was to a King a few hundred years ago. The King needed protection during a war, and read up on the dark arts. He had bound Thatcher to him to be his personal guard dog. He had been bound to the King for around three years before the man was killed, freeing him from his imprisonment. While he had grown familiar with the King, and almost friendly at times, he still held a deep resentment for doing such a thing to him.
@RhysTheFirebird group
“What happens if I break the circle? Would it still hurt you?” Avdey tilts his head slightly, feeling bad that the Reaper had gotten hurt. BUt it was also the other fault for touching the circle in the first place.
“Well. . . See, I was hungry one day, so, like any vampire, I took a quick bite off of a mortal. It was consensual, I try not to be a monster. Anyways, next thing I know, I’m surrounded by hunters and I have to run. I’ve been running for a few days. I just want them dead and then I’ll figure out a way to free you without killing myself. If that possible. . .” He takes a deep breath, a guilty look on his face.
@Desvelarse pets
Thatcher shook his head. “If you break the circle, it won’t hurt me,” he said. He left out that he would be able to travel freely. If that would be done, he would at least be able to stretch his legs and come and go as he pleased. That was, until his new ‘master’ had a target for him.
There were worse things he could have been bound for. He could have been bound for money or power, so his master’s situation was a bit of a grey area. Thatcher still later it but at least he couldn’t consider the other to be completely evil. “You can unbind us without either one of us dying. All you have to do is give me that little piece of paper in your pocket, and I’ll be free again,” he said, glancing down to the pockets on his master’s clothes. He wasn’t able to take it for himself, he had to be given it by his master for it to truly free him.
@RhysTheFirebird group
“Okay then. . .” He moves forward and scuffs his foot through the mark, breaking the circle. “All I ask is for you to hunt down the hunters after me and kill them. Then, you’ll have your slip of paper.”
He looks at the Reaper, smiling slightly, “I’m Avdey, and you?” He asks, tilting his head ever so slightly. He was curious about this Reaper. And he didn’t want the Reaper to feel trapped. More like hired to do a job, Avdey was a man of his word. Once the hunters were dead he’d hand the Reaper the paper.
He slid his hand into his back pocket, feeling the paper and nodding slightly.
@Desvelarse pets
Thatcher nodded his head slowly as Avdey explained what his job would be. It seemed simple enough, and most hunters didn’t have what it would take to even put a dent in a Reaper. It would be light work for him. But what happened if Avdey wanted more? Kept finding things for him to do, people for him to take out and heal. He would get caught up in the power and forget his original need to protect himself.
“My name is Thatcher,” he answered, stepping out of the circle. He wished to draw his scythe from the tattoo on his arm, but he was unable to, not unless he was given the command. “Do you know how to work a Reaper? How to assign targets?” he questioned with a raised brow. Most people did their homework, but he felt like Avdey was in a hurry for solutions.
@RhysTheFirebird group
Avdey sighs, “I don’t go back on my word. Kill the people hunting me, and I’ll set you free. No strings attached.” Avdey could only remember one time he’d failed to keep his word, and the wash of guilt that came over him afterwards had been unbearable. He’d never broken his words since then. He was an honest man, if prone to fits of impulsive anger.
Avdey bites his lip slightly, “Nice to meet you Thatcher.” He hesitates a moment before speaking again.
“I don’t really care what you do you know. You’re a person too. I don’t want to control you. Do whatever you want. You’re not a slave. . . Even if that’s probably what this is. . .” He mutters, shifting on his feet. He was starting to feel guilty for what he did. “Um. . . But I would like to know how to assign a mark. I’m sure you have more important things to do.”
@Desvelarse pets
Thatcher narrowed his eyes softly at the man. “Slavery is exactly what this is,” he said, tone sounding a bit bitter. The man clearly didn’t have a full realization of exactly what he had done. Thatcher was no longer a person at this point, he was merely a weapon. A weapon for the man he was bound to.
“That paper that you have,” he started, nodding towards the man. “You use that. You write down the full name of the person you want to kill, and once the deed is done, it will become blank.” As he finished speaking, he heard an echoed howl in the distance. Nike was getting close, and she was sure to not be happy. He wouldn’t let her harm the man, as much as he would like her to. He was essentially the man’s personal bodyguard and had to prevent his death in any way possible.
