A young mugger

Description

A young mugger tries to rob Task at knifepoint, but Task fends him off, and disarms him. Task takes the knife. Task sells the knife at a different pawn shop for a little money.


Being watched

Description

Task begins to feel like he is being watched. He starts moving his hideout frequently, but often finds individuals loitering around him and his camp for long durations.


The child gang

Description

Task is confronted by a gang of children, identified by the mugger, for causing hightened unrest in their territory. Among them is the quiet wolf from school. Task maintains that he is stealing to survive, not to cut them off their territory. Their leader isn't hearing it, however, and orders the gang to beat Task to teach him a lesson. Task fights back, but is overwhelmed by number. He turns tail and flees through the slums, pursued by the gang. He manages to evade them by quick jumping and climbing over obstacles. The leader, out of line of sight, threatens Task by telling him the whole town is owned by a criminal organization, and there was nowhere safe for him in Ardew.


Back into hiding

Description

Task returns to hiding during the day and moving at night. After a few close encounters, he decides to leave Ardew.


Into Lettield

Description

Task travels a couple weeks along country roads to the mining town of Lettield.
