Sunrise

The city of Ardew begins to awake, Task begins to explore.

Appropriation

Task combs through a residential area and steals several items, food, and clothing to blend in and survive.

Encounter

Task is caught by a young wolf on their way to school. Task orders them to move along, and they comply.

Observation

Task begins part of his assignment, watching and learning the behavior of the public on Werdans

The Pawn Shop

Task goes to a pawn shop and sells several of the things he had stolen. The cashier is skeptical of Task, but makes the sale.

Hiding in plain sight

Task realises his eye color gives his species away. Go goes to a cosmetic store and buys color contacts with the fence money.

Browsing stores

Task is interested by the quantity of things for sale across the storefronts. He browses through several stores, cathcing the attention of a couple cashiers.

The Peace Officers

After Task enters a store, a couple of officers entere a minute later. Task tries to act natural, but he can tell the officers are watching him. He tries to make a smooth retreat, but the officers confront him. Task almost panics, but realises the police officers aren't confronting him for being an Atsalisian agent, but for being truant at school. They question him and take him in.

Task goes back to School

Escorted by the officers, Task is forced into the school. He manages to convince the staff he is simply new to the area, and they assign him to class for the rest of the day.

Class

Task finds he is the clearly out of his element even amongst 'fellow' felids his age. He feels spotlighted and that his ruse may be discovered by his relativly poor reading skills and accent. The young wolf from earlier is present, but stays silent.

After school

As they leave, Task crumples and throws away a homework assignment. One of the felids invites Task over, they were having a party, and they would have the house to themselves, with food and drink provided. This grabbed Task's attention, and he said he would attend.

The party

Task attends and indulges in the buffet, making sure to take extra for further meals. He is bewildered by the other's behavior and lax attitude. He thinks they act like children, and they think Task acts too much like an adult for his age. Task tries to please his hosts to keep his cover and not arouse suspicion. He stays the night, and when they head back out for school in the morning, Task returns to the streets.

Mission First

Task returns to observation, laying low and avoiding being spotted.
