Tremor #2 hits

Description

The Pulse detonation is visible from the South East, mobilization and launch are called. Task and Exris are already in their craft's seats, and begin their launch.

Launch and Escape

Description

Task and Exris lift off, struggle with strong winds and vortexes. In the upper atmosphere, they encounter meteoroids, unseen on Atsalis before. Lots of rock debris in space, Task and Exris maintain radio contact. Task can see the crater and dust cloud from the pulse detonation, and confrims with Exris that they will be actually performing thier mission. Task successfully passes through the defense grid, and then loses contact with Exris. Task engauges the FTL motor and accelerates at FTL towards Werdans.

Waiting

Description

As per his flight plan, Task keeps his velocity relativly low to allow for a shorter retrograde burn at Werdans. This means that his travel time is significantly extended. What would normally take a few weeks would now take a couple months. Task tries to communicate with Exris or any other Atsalisians over an encryted radio, but is unable to raise anyone. Task travels alone.

Interdiction

Description

Task is intercepted by a privateer. He doesn't realise he is under attack until he has been anchored to the larger privateer. He tries to break free, but the Privateer manages to destroy his propulsion. Task zeroizes his crytographic equipment, and the privateer secures his ship inside a cargo bay.

Action Onboard

Description

Task weighs his options as the Privateers work around his ship. Without his engines, he had no good options to scuttle, and had little in the way of weaponry. The Privateer captain begins ordering Task to surrender as the crew begin cutting into Task's ship. Task decides to fight. He ejects an escape hatch and pushes himself out, armed with his pistol. As soon as he is out of his ship, the Privateer enables gravity, throwing Task back down on the deck from great height, injuring him. The crew, magnetically teathered to the deck, swept in a captured him quickly, throwing him in a brig.
