Eliana Becomes Corrupt

Avena and Eliana (Mercy and Compassion) exist in a constant arms' race, as they tend to be attracted to the same problems - Avena, however, is almost always faster, and she mocks Eliana's apparent lethargy and failure as a god. Irakkam dies at Avena's hand.

Avena thinks of ambassadors as tools, not as friends and companions.

Sides Are Taken

Kerra speaks up and says that enough is enough, claiming that Avena has gone too far. Kana and Alea take his side.

Avena considers this statement to be the end of Ysbryd's "stay in your lane" policy, and states as such.

Fearing conflict, Tomo retreats into the library, while Iona and Percy declare themselves neutral parties.

Instability

Percy busies himself with keeping Ysbrys from collapsing under the weight of this new "god war".

Hari's Message

Hari tasks Iona with delivering a message to Avon. When she complies, the gods and ambassadors of knowledge and memories are sealed within the library. Tomo can only see hints of what is happening through the memory tomes.

Cinnie's Death

Naren refuses to believe Iona and Cinnie's claims to neutrality, and takes it upon themselves to kill the ambassador of fate. Iona retaliated by killing Naren.

Karmatic Betrayal

Tausi, believing he can be 'transferred' to a god more worthy of his talents, betrays Kerra.

Avena kills Kerra, and refuses to make Tausi her new ambassador, so he dies as well.

Eliana's Confrontation

Eliana confronts Iona, who demands to know if her suffering had always been fate's plan for her. He refuses to answer her questions; frustrated by his lack of cooperation, she kills him. He is very passive about his death (implied he knew he would die here).

Final Confrontation

At this point, there are very few gods left that are not sealed away. Kana, Alea, Eliana, Avena, Percy.

Eliana is knocked down, and Avena is about to kill her for good when Kana steps in and takes the blow, dying instead - this also kills Alea. This results in Avena being surprised for just long enough to have Eliana retaliate, killing Avena.

At the end, only Eliana is left.

Decay

Eliana is on her own until her corruption catches up to her and she dies.

With Ysbryd's many dimensions more or less left devoid of god, Percy fragments his own soul to ensure their permanence. He loses his physical form and enters a semi-aware stasis.

The library unseals itself some time later.

Burn The Books

Tomo decides he must burn the books of the dead gods and ambassadors, and will not take 'no' for an answer. Xiao defies his god and hides a single page from each book, ensuring the memories are not lost. Dylan is given Alea's page.

He's determined to do this because he rewrote his own memories to forget Irakkam. now hes self programmed to burn any dead god books.

Aftermath

The survivors are shaken by the carnage suffered. Between the unsealing of the library and the discovery of the library by newly born gods, Avon dies. Aika creates an ambassador, Zmie, and kills her sometime later.
