These are some small prompts I wrote that I may no longer use. Help yourselves.

- Write a story beginning with a scream and containing spilled salt, a cold bath, the smell of coffee beans, a parking garage, and wilted flowers
- A story containing a slip ’n’ slide, something going wrong at a bonfire, and uncontrollable rage
- A babysitter’s snooping around her employer’s house when she comes upon a disturbing photograph.
- The snake coiled around her arm, slithering through the flowers up to her shoulder. He watched as the snake began to leave her skin, turning from a piece of art into a pearl white snake that curled around her neck and bumped against her cheek in a friendly greeting.
- A blood red dragon curled around their neck, nuzzling their cheek as they spoke.
- You have a unique ability. When wearing someone else’s clothes, you change into that person. You collect appearance by buying clothes in secondhand shops, but up to now it’s just a game for you. Then you find something special…
- At age 18, everyone gets a weapon based on their personality and strengths. All your friends got traditional weaponry, but you? Oh, you got something interesting that no one knows how to wield.
- The full moon shone down on the forest, slivers of moonlight beaming through the leaves.
- As I aged, I forgot whether it had really happened, or it was just a story I had written.

- “Um, no.” [Character 1] said. She stood up. [Character 2] did too. Together, they marched out of the cafeteria, refusing to look at each other and steadfastly avoiding the stares thrown their way. They passed through a multitude of corridors and steps, before curving to the back of the school.
[Character 2] leaned against a wall, and pulled a lighter out of her pocket. [Character 1] read the hastily sharpied words, I don’t smoke but I like to burn things. She flipped the lid and then closed it. She did it again. Click, close, click, close.
“I should take those girls out. They’re a menace to society.”
[Character 1] rolled her eyes. “Maybe later. Don’t you have a boyfriend to be messing around with?” [Character 2] smiled.
“If you pay attention, you can tell when people aren’t interested in what you have to say.”
“Watching you get shot down is amazingly hilarious.”
“Please, just talk to me.”
“It’s a wonder how you’ve managed thus far.”
“My mission in life is to read every single book this library has to offer.”
“Well actually that won’t work because you’re freaking stupid and we’d all get killed.” “You must be fun at parties."
“The English language lacks the requisite words to express just how much I dislike you.”
"I’m getting really tired of pretending I’m not evil.”
“Wait, I didn’t mean that!"
“Take your doubt and drown it.”
"Never trust a survivor until you find out what they did to survive.”
“I needed you more than I thought.”
"Oh darling. You don’t need a weapon when you were born one.”
“You don’t even go to this school. What are you doing?”
“I’ve been waiting.”
“I have never met someone as pretentious as you.”
“Danger is turning the corner and I’m going to be ready for it.”
“Don’t you think we’re going too fast? The speed limit is fifty.”
“Have you never wondered? Have you never seen the normalities, everything mundane? We’re living a lie.”
