“Touch me again and I will tear you apart.” She warned, exasperated, her surrendered arms getting tired of holding themselves in the air. Dismissing her threat, the man chuckled and waved the knife in the air, before moving closer to her, causing her to press herself against the wall. Her arms lower to her side and the palms of her sweaty hands press against the cold of the wall.

“Oh sure, like a tiny girl like you can tear me apart.” He moves the knife closer, challenging her threat. “I’d like to see you try.” The knife rests a centimeter away from her neck, her back pressed against the concrete wall of the alleyway. “I’ll give you one more chance, give me your money and jewelry and I’ll let you live.” He states smirking, as if it’s that simple.

“I told you, I don’t have anything valuable on me.”

“Well, what about that necklace?” He lifts the silver chain with the tip of his knife, revealing the elephant charm to come up from under her shirt. He smirks as he sees worry fill her eyes, he returns the knife to her neck, the chain moves further ba“I’m trying my best to be polite, but if you move that knife a centimeter closer to me ck on the spine of his weapon. Hesitating to talk, he watches her scared eyes try to think of how to keep her necklace. “If it’s not worth anything, why do you want to keep it so bad?” He presses, “Is it important to you? If I take it will you cry? Does it have a sentimental sob story?” He moves his knife away from her neck in one swift movement, the necklace popping off. He quickly grabs the necklace with his available hand and returns the knife to her neck.

“Wow, we have a liar, don’t we?” He smirks up at her after examining the necklace. “This stupid little necklace of yours is going to give me a lot of money.” He looks back to the necklace, the round diamonds twinkle in sterling silver. The girl sees her window and takes it, she lifts her knee to his groin.

He doubles over in pain and groans “You’re going to pay for that.” He begins to stand up, but she doesn’t let him. She kicks his shoulder, causing him to hit to ground hard. She kicks the knife out of his grasp and goes for it. Diving over his body, she rolls to the knife and comes up on one knee, the knife in her right hand. Trying to catch her breath, she moves her hair from out of her face as she stands up and moves back to the writhing man. She kneels next to him, and puts one knee in his gut, pressing down hard.

“The necklace,” She presses the knife to his neck, panting, “Now.”
