Turning around I see her, she took the knife for me. “No!”
Turning around I see her, she took the knife for me. “No!”
Suddenly I feel myself getting dizzy, The room starts spinning, it starts slow then it starts getting faster and faster then…
Blood pooled out of my head onto my delicate white shoulder. The Demon looked pissed.
He cried out angrily:
"Why won't you ever die?!"
I looked at the demon and smiled. "I'm not your ordinary girl," I said before I passed out.
I woke up in a mysterious white room with absolutely nothing in it but a small patch of grass and a glass of OJ.
The demon reappeared and said:
"There is only one way to leave this room and that's through death!"
He pointed to the orange juice. "That juice is laced with a poison that will painfully kill you within minutes". He pointed to the grass. "If you go near that grass, you will pick up a parasite that will slowly and painlessly kill you within weeks. Pick your poison"
"I will not stop this until I can kill you!" he cackled.
I blinked. “You are trying awfully hard to try and kill me. How about you have a drink.”
The Demon’s voice died in his throat and he looked around. “Oh, there’s a drink there!” He pointed to the juice, trotted over, and slug it down idiotically.
I rolled my eyes. Surely someone couldn't be this stupid?
Within seconds, the demon's face turned blue then green then purple…actually it just went through all of the colours. He dropped to the ground, choking. A vial fell from his coat and rolled on the floor towards me. It was labelled 'Poison Cure'. What should I do, I thought? He'll die if I don't do anything, but he's been trying to kill me…
I plopped down easily. My chains disappeared somehow. I picked up the vile and trotted over. He reached for me and grabbed his neck, clawing at it as if trying to kill himself faster.
“Hmmmm…”
I looked at the demon struggling and looked back to the vile. If I give him this, he'll just try to kill me again. I thought.
"Do you want this?" I asked, watching as he painfully nodded.
"Ok then."
I dropped the vial onto the ground it watched it crack open and leak. The antidote seeped into the grass nearby, removing the poison from there and leaving none for the demon.
"Oops."
He roared with frustration and uttered his last curse: "May you wake up and open your eyes and understand what you have DONE!"
I opened my eyes and screamed.
(bump)
I was back in the small room except the walls were made of human people?!
I moved closer and touched a part of it. I had no idea what came over me but I enjoyed how it felt. It felt like that soft memory foam that my parents would have in their bed to stop me from jumping on it as a kid. Suddenly, one of the parts of the wallpaper disassembled and came near me.
It was Luke my brother. He was severely burned from head to toe and wore nothing but his undergarments. He staggered towards me in slow, pain-filled steps. His jagged limb you could once call a finger pointed at me. His bloodshot eyes never left me. With deep fear in his eyes he stoped ten feet away from me. Still pointing at me, still never taking his eyes off me. He stood in a ready position and froze like a deer in headlights. We stood like this for a few moments until a inhuman sound emergered from my brothers throat. “You,” his voice dry like sandpaper, as if he hadn't used it in months, he tried again, “you did this to me!” He bend his knees a little more every sailable. He pounced.
Impossible. He'd told me I'd never see him again. My feet were rooted to the ground as Luke, face shriveling as he flew through the air, disentegrated and flew into my mouth, choking me. I tried to scream again, gagging, but my throat was too full of my dead brother to do anything but croak weakly.
I didn’t…I didn’t want to kill him, but he taught me long ago that you must do anything to survive. As his ashes deteriorate my raw throat that is surely bleeding I knew what I had to do. Pain exploded throught my chest the farther he goes the less time I have. I have to kill him and there’s only one way. One way to live. One way to kill. One way to survive.
(this is weird to me because there's another character named Luke but he's adorable and I would never kill him)
I struggled to pull just a little more oxygen in, but he was worming his way farther down, trying to get to my lungs. I opened my mouth wide and out came fire, smoke and Luke's ashes. More oxygen came in, more fire came out, until I was sure big brother was dead. For real. Little crackling pieces of him floated to the ground. The ground. I shut my mouth and stared at the ground.
One tear slid slowly down my face. My brother. My sweet, generous, amazing brother. Laid in ashes at my feet. Gilt coated my body, mummified in pain. How could I have done that? There’s no going back now. There was a whole in the wall where Luke had just been. Slowly feet began to form where Luke’s feet where just. Only one way out. Diving through the hole in the wall shivering as my skin brushed the leathery sides. Plunging into darkness. And nauseously dropped.
The drop went on for what seemed like a week. Once I reached the bottom, I landed with a soft thud as if there was something blocking the fall. When I looked down, I saw that I had landed in a nest of mating turtles.
"Ewwwwww," I cried, wrinkling my nose. I scrambled to my feet, determined to get out of there as fast as was humanly possible.
I quickly ran out through a tunnel in the wall, eventually exiting the tunnel and coming into bright daylight. I squint my eyes at the sudden brightness. After my eyes adjust, I look around to see that I am on a cliff. Below the cliff is a burning city, smoke rising into the air and making me choke.
All of a sudden, the mating turtles begin to grow, becoming the size of houses and mooing like cows with high pitched voices. (Im so sorry lol)
Smoke filled my already ashy lungs, and I doubled over, coughing. Where was I? Was this some kind of neverending nightmare? Behind me, the bellowing grew louder and deeper. My eyes jumped between the city and the tunnel. I didn't think turtles sounded like that. But how could I get away - just jump off the cliff?
I took a deep breath, stilling my nerves, and leaped off the cliff.
