(For reference, I am a proud Ravenpuff, as I've come out as both houses mulitple times on the pfficial pottermore site, and any other test is a tossup between the two, and percentage tests are 50/50 (Fun fact, it actually pins me more as Hufflepuff in the percentage quizzes, but I personally identified as a ravenclaw for ages, so I often pick for Ravenclaw unless it's a more moral thing))

So basically there was a kid who was adopted and his new 'family' just does scientific experiments on him, the experiments in the actual pasta are about pain tolerance, I might change that element but consider: What if the subject isn't adopted but is just seen as a waste of space by the rest of his family, who also are really into science and technology??? ;) ;)
