I know about coat colors (realistically worlds of course, for fantasy you could do anything) as well as horse behavior. They have complex genetics as well and some breeds do have different gaits than others. Some can be short as a dog while others are recorded as the tallest horse alive. So if you're a stickler for details and want to know something, holler at me.
Me too. I actually ride horses and compete in shows.
In my story's world, horses are still a common form of transportation. What should I know about horses for that purpose?
Different breeds specialize in different things. For example, draft horses, or really big horses, usually carry or pull heavy things. Other horses may be faster and/or have more stamina. Thoroughbred horses are very fast with a lot of speed and stamina as well as Arabian horses and Quarter horses. Some people may prefer a certain breed. It depends on how your character are using them. I hope that was a helpful bit of advice :)
What would it feel like if you were a centaur? Asking for a friend.
Tbh idk. I guess it would be cool to be able to use a weapon and run as fast as a horse.
