What's the best comic/series to get into as a first comic for someone who's never read them, but likes superhero movies?

Hi! I started out just like you. Getting into the comics are a little hard, considering how many characters there are. The stories in the movies are also pretty different from the comics, so that takes some getting used to. Ideally you could start at the beginning, with the original characters Captain America, Human Torch, and Namor in the 1950's comics, but it might be hard to get your hands on those. I started by getting into the Marvel encyclopedia. This way, I was able to know about all the major characters before I read the comics. You can also want start with some of the major events like Civil War, Age of Ultron, Fear Itself, and Avengers vs. XMen. You may not know everyone, but it will give you a feel of Marvel comic style.
