"As a soldier it's my job to make sure you don't waste what I saved."

"It's not your concern!"

Jona sighs.

"Fine. If you want to die, be my guest. It's not like I care."

Eve's breath hitched as memoriesflashed in her head and she stumbledknockingsomethingover "Why did you come here?"

"In the first place, it was to see the place I grew up in. But now I'm going to come here to keep you alive."

"Why would you even care it doesn't effect your life. "

"No, but it will affect your family's life."

"They didn't seem to mind when I was taken.."

"'Taken?' Taken where, exactly?"

"I don't know where.."

Jona frowns. So someone took her and hurt her to the point where she doesn't even trust daylight. Who would do that?

"Can you desbribe what you saw when you were taken?"

"No I can't"

Jona nods.

"Okay. Then I'll leave for now. I'll be back at the same time tomorrow."

Eve stayed silent for a moment waiting for footsteps

After a minute Jona starts to walk away, then pauses.

"What's your name?"

"There's no point in learning a dead girls name."

Jona huffs.

"Just tell me. I'll mourn you."

"eve"

Jona nods and leaves.

Eve let's out a shaky breath as she slid down the door and started crying

The next day, Jona shows up as promised.

He knocks.

"Hey Eve. It's me."

Eve was sitting on the couch when she heard the knock and rolled her eyes moving over to the door "what do you want?"

"Making sure you have food and are still alive." Jona says.

"I'm alive."

"Do you have food?"

"Barely."

The sound of multiple bags being put down can be heard.

"I figured that was the case. Assuming you still have electricity, I bought a lot of stuff for the fridge and freezer, as well as nonperishables."

Eve rolled her eyes before answering "i have electricity i still work i told you that, i make good money."

Jona shrugs.

"Your lights are always off, so I wouldn't know."
