Okay, so I was customizing the Universes template and realized that one of the sections I added didn't seem to show up. So, I entered it again, and it still didn't show up. I created a Universe to check if it was showing up there, and both entries were indeed showing up. But neither of them are to be seen under the Customize Template option.
I've tried logging out and back in, and the issue still remains. I've tried refreshing the page, and the issue still remains. I'm running out of options to fix it myself so uh… some help would be really appreciated.
Thank you.
Have you added a category to your section? That may be the problem, if you haven't.
If I'm not making sense, just tell me, and I can do my best to elaborate better
I can't add a category to the section. It's not showing up when I go to Customize Template, it's only showing up in the universes. I can't get rid of them because I have no way of accessing them. They're just there, clogging up my Universes.
Additionally, I've realized that this is only occurring whenever I name a section "Settings". I added "Flora" and "Areas" after the incident and those are both staying and allowing me to edit them, but whenever I try to name any section "Settings" it reverts to only showing up when creating a Universe.
Huh, that is strange. I really am unsure what I could do to help…
It is truly weird. It's okay if you can't help, I'm sure a mod will show up eventually and do what they do best: fix the issue.
True true, I wish I could help though…
Oh! I know how you can help! If you know the mods of the site, would you mind tagging them (if this site has a tagging function now)? That may help speed things along.
All I know of is @andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer), and that's about it. I haven't seen many other moderators besides him.
Alright. Thank you for that!
Chiming in to say that I tried what @Acetylcholine described and had the same results - creating a new category and naming it "Settings" results in said category not showing up on the template customisation field. I did get a pop-up that said "Shiny new Settings category created" or something like that, but it wasn't anywhere to be seen.
Ah, oops! There's a few reserved names that get hidden by default since they're used for internal stuff ("Settings", "Gallery", and "Changelog", off the top of my head). I'd recommend renaming the category if you can and seeing if it shows then (and if it doesn't show up in the template editor, just shoot me a PM with the type of page you're editing so I can remove it manually for you), while I look into a bugfix to make these names usable for everyone else. :)
Ah, I see. I was attempting to use "Settings" so I can describe/list the places scenes take place. It didn't occur to me that it may be used for internal things. Thank you for clearing that up!
