Basically exactly what it says on the label: I try to use the search function, and I get an application error as follows:
"An error occurred in the application and your page could not be served. If you are the application owner, check your logs for details. You can do this from the Heroku CLI with the command heroku logs –tail"
Anyone else having this problem?
Ah, yeah. Search on the forums is currently down; search for the rest of the site (accessed by clicking the lightning bolt in the top right and clicking "Search your notebook") should still be working. I'll probably have to rewrite the forums search to get it working since our forums are so big (and we use free software to power the forums); sorry about that!
@andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) since the forum is public, you could use an external search engine based one, rather than using internal forum search. Which one is up to you, I've come to like the simplicity of duckduckgo, being privacy focused.

I know how much strain doing db searches has on a system, but if's already indexed, might as well make use of a free service and allow your resources to better used elsewhere.
@dp-wes That's a really good idea, actually. I started work on making some big changes to the DB yesterday that might've been enough to get search back online, but shifting some of that load to Bigger Sites might be the way to go. :)
Thank you. Had a similar question. Thanks you that I didn't create a post duplicate.
