forum PM box problems

I have not been able to start or receive any new PM/DM discussions and it's getting really annoying as I wish to talk with separate people.

I think this might have something to do with usernames? Like usually if somebody has a username with spaces/commas/underscores/anything other than just letters, I have issues PMing them.

@SaltyLasagna is right. I need to add rules on what can and can't be in usernames (and reset usernames with those invalid characters) in order to ensure PMs always work. Having spaces, symbols, and lots of other nonalphanumeric characters in your username will make sending a PM to that username almost always break.

I'll make sure to keep those characters out of my username if I decide to change it
