Hey! Like Avhira I literally just got another popular to download notebook ai to my phone. It came as I refreshed the tab, so I didn't get a chance to screenshot it but I thought I'd let you guys know considering that there isnt a app for it. If It does come again I will try and show you but idk man thats weird.

Ack. That’s not very cash money of it to do that. I think that it might be installing a bookmark onto your Home Screen on your phone, as a webpage bookmark/shortcut. Are you on android? Bc that’s absolutely wild.
There’s also the possibility that it is adware or malware that you picked up from a shady site. If you and Avhira have used a shady site, like say a site that lets you watch movies or something like that, you can definitely pick something up from there. Go up to your settings and turn on block pop ups, if you have chrome. I think it’s built in? Idk. I have McAfee installed on my phone to prevent that. But that’s wild.

This looks to me like it might be your browser trying to get you to bookmark it to your home screen like an app since we provide all the icons and stuff for people who do that

i could understand the "shady site" if this popped up on my computer, but this is on my phone and i rarely use chrome for anything other than notebook. Also yeah, i use an android

So far, notebook has been the only website to show this popup (keep in mind it showed up for the first time this morning), the only thing remotely close to this has been when my friend sends me either tiktok or insta links. seeing that i dont have either of them it has the whole "this video is better on the app" nonsense, but notebook gave me just a little notice at the top that just 'install' like i showed, which is wayyy different to what ive seen. The instal popup also only stayed around for like 5ish seconds.

If I go to the settings by clicking on the app, but if i do it through the actual settings app it's the same as the regular settings on google, so it seems i quite literally just downloaded the site somehow?
