I'm running an RP right now and I've been trying to include pictures so that the others can get a better idea of what I'm describing, but they're so small! I can barely see what I'm trying to write about without looking at it on Google Images, and I've seen and included pictures in previous RPs that were larger before. Is there something I'm doing wrong or a certain file I should be looking out for?
Hey, can you link me to an example of what you're seeing?
If you link to any image directly on the forums that ends in .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, or .png, and on its own line, it should embed into the comment directly. (See an example below – did you mean even larger than that?)
If you mean on worldbuilding pages, they're smaller just to fit them all in (but can be clicked to view full-size), but I can definitely whip something up to make them larger by default (out tonight, hopefully). Would one per row be better for sharing them with RPers?
(It should look something like this currently, with ~2 per row currently:)
It might be the fact that I heard the easiest way to get pictures into forums was to put them into Notebook through a picture dump page and then copying the picture link from that page into the RP like so:
Ah, that's a totally fine way to do it.
To get a larger image on the forums, you should click through to the full-size image on your photo dump page (click the images there) and grab that URL instead. You can also change the "medium" in the URL you have to "original" to get the original size, instead of a version rescaled to "medium" size.
For example,
There's also "large" which is between "medium" and "original".
Cool, thank you! I'll try that out and come back if I messed up somewhere.
