If I'm working on a universe with my friend, can I share my universe that I made here with them? And will the be able to make changes?

Yes, and yes! :)

When you are editing your universe, check out the Contributors tab. From there, you'll be able to add your friend's email address. If they've got a Notebook.ai account under that email, they'll instantly have full access to the whole universe and be able to edit any pages within it like you can, and if they don't have an account yet they'll receive an email invitation asking them to sign up (at which point they'll have full access as well).
