forum How are the change logs supposed to work?

I went into one of my planets change logs and found it only went to the 10th of jan this year when i have been working on it for almost 6 years and it said so at the bottom of the logs

But then i went to a country and it had all of my changes going back 5 years

Does the change log only save a certain amount of changes?
