I’ve been trying for days to add my friend to a universe we’re working on together, but the collaboration/contributor invite button just pulls up an error page every time and the email doesn’t go through.

Hey, just wanted to let you know there was a bug generating the invite emails, and that bug has now been fixed. You should be able to invite collaborators now, and the emails should be sending. You can just remove the contributor invitation you've created (under the Contributors tab) and re-invite that person to send the email. Unfortunately, the invitation I sent to myself to test that it was working went to my spam box, so I would tell your friend to check their spam as well to see if it gets delivered there.

Also, just to be clear on the feature, there's no special invite code in the email – as soon as your friend signs up for an account using the email address you sent the email to (or if they already have an account with that email), they'll automatically gain access to the universe, immediately. Just gotta make sure the email you invite matches the email they're using!

Do let me know if you need any other help on this. I double checked the two invitations you created (they went through in the system, but just didn't send emails) and there's no current user with those email addresses, so if it's a current user I'd double check with them on the email they used to sign up, and if it's a new user you should be good to go by just re-inviting them to send the email. :)
