forum Cannot make fields or category's

I've retried this multiple times and it just sends me to an error page. Advice?

Okay so it turns out the fields I've made show up during edit but I still get error pages, and when I try to delete the extra fields it sends me to another error page. Oh well.

Luckily I still have the page open on another tab and now I'm just copy and pasting everything :/

I’ve had this issue too and I’ve sent in a bug report, so hopefully it can be fixed easily enough.

I made the mistake of deleting a character too - I clicked the trashcan when I had a custom category tab open instead of selecting ‘delete attribute’ from the drop down menu next to the attribute. Thankfully it was just a minor one.

Ah yes, sorry about this. I'm working on a fix for this that should go out soon. What's happening is that category/field is being created, but then it's trying to redirect you to a page to view it (instead of back to the page you were just editing) and that's throwing an error. The category/field should be created and visible when you press the back button to get back to your original page.

lol thats exactly what I did… I just sat there for a minute, like completely shocked/scared at what just happened

absolutely amazing, and defiantly useful for someone like me

(One other side note: in one of the upcoming releases there'll be a "trash can" where you can see the pages you've deleted in the past 24 hours and "undelete" them from there.) :)

@andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) - will the ability to add fields to existing categories or rearrange categories be part of the upcoming updates?

It's still a bit in flux since it's such a big rework, but right now the update allows you to:

• Add fields to existing categories (e.g. ones you've created or the default ones)
• Hide (or delete) default fields from the default categories that you might not want (for example, "Prejudices" on characters)
• Hide entire default categories (e.g. "Looks" on a character)

Rearranging probably won't make it in this update, but I am working to build out an extendible foundation so I can add new features to it moving forward (e.g. changing a field from linking from Locations to linking Countries, or changing a field from being a text field into linking to another page). Lots of cool stuff, but I want to make sure I release the basics first and then improvements as I go, instead of waiting forever for it all to be done. :)

@andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) - I'm really excited for this update! Looking forward to being able to add fields in existing categories. :) I understand about getting the foundation right first before adding on all the extras, and I think a series of smaller updates will be a lot more fun for us users too rather than needing to wait longer and then being overwhelmed by all the new features!
