Thomas is my main and favorite character here on notebook. I have written a full length novel on his backstory, and at the end he dies. (Spoiler alert lol) I wrote his death scene and am looking for some critiques on it. Anything is helpful! Just please be kind about it
Oh, Spoliers for Avengers: Infinity War btw.

With a roar, an axe came flying through the air, burying itself in Thanos’ chest. Thor followed not long after as the mad Titan collapsed to his knees. Thomas walked over as Thanos muttered seven words that chilled him to the bone.
“You should… have gone… for the head“
“No!” Thomas flew forward, his eyes wide with fear as he saw the mad titan prepare to snap. His gaze met Thor’s, both sets of eyes filled with panic as they realized they were too late.
Snap!
Thomas flew backwards, hitting the ground with a thump. He laid there for a moment, catching his breath before he rolled over and pushed himself onto his feet, looking around. At first, nothing seemed off. Everyone looked at each other, confused at what was supposed to be happening.
A scream in the distance brought reality crashing back down upon the Avengers. Thomas’ gaze scanned the clearing, his feet glued to the ground.
“Bucky!”
Thomas’ head jerked to the side. His heart sank as he saw Myra grasp at dust that littered the forest floor where Bucky had been standing just moments before.
Someone called his name. The familiar voice sent chills down his spine as his icy blue gaze shifted from his sibling to his beloved, who was rapidly disintegrating before his eyes.
“No, Wanda…” Thomas stumbled forward, reaching out and catching the dust as it floated to the ground. The sounds in the background became muffled, as if he were slowly sinking into water. His gaze turned to Pietro, who faded away as well, his eyes filled with a sort of sad acceptance.
Nat. Clint. Myra.
Those three names reverberated through his mind on a loop. He stood, making eye contact with each of them. Holding it. Waiting for them to dissolve as well. But they didn’t.
Thomas allowed himself a sigh of relief. They were okay. They were all going to be okay. His family was safe.
The boy looked around at the devastation. The rest of the Avengers looked around with confusion and dismay as their comrades faded away to dust.
Thomas turned and walked towards the rest of his family. Clint was embracing Nat and Myra, murmuring words Thomas couldn’t hear. He got about halfway when he felt a strange pain in his stomach. Freezing, Thomas felt his heart sink as he looked down, watching as his legs slowly turned to dust in the wind. His breath quickened and tears sprung to his eyes as reality hit him.
He didn’t want to die.
“Mom!” Thomas let out a strangled cry and held out his hands, reaching for his family.
Nat and Myra looked up, their eyes widening as they saw what was happening. They both ran forward, Clint following in a daze. Natasha and Myra reached out their hands, grasping one of his in their own.
Thomas looked into their eyes, sobbing, “Please-” he managed to choke out, gripping their hands with a white-knuckled grip. He opened his mouth to say more, but he was too late.
The feeling of their hands in his slowly faded away as his vision dissolved to black. His last thought rang through his consciousness, echoing endlessly.
I love you…
Then, nothing.
He was gone.

End

@Yamatsu

Other than some formatting errors (Mad Titan, "…for the head.") this is pretty good! The only other note I would make is to leave out the "He was gone." line, as it really doesn't add much. There's a lot more emotional punch when the narration doesn't take longer than it needs to.
