I don't usually ask but I would really enjoy public opinions on my story! I know right now it might be vague as to whats going to go on within the story and some things might be a little cringey but I really would appreciate it! As well as helping me I will help out with anyone who wants it!!!

woah. that's honestly super interesting to me and i would defiantly look forward to reading excerpts of this. it's a really ambitious idea actually because that theme..the concept of outward appearances not being what they seemed and slowly descending into something disturbing and terrifying… is a very very hard theme to write. You'd almost have to slowly switch voices and styles and you'd have to do every sentence carefully. I'm not at a point in my writing that'd i'd be able to tackle a story like so all i can say to you is, good luck! you got this! If you ever write an excerpt, post it here! im curious now!

I really don't know how to critique this, but I like the premise a lot! It kind of reminded me of the "The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer" by Michelle Hodkin. If you haven't read it, it is totally worth it. I'm not a huge fan of the horror/creepy genre (and it's not totally that but close) and I could not put it or the rest of the books in the trilogy down. I agree with @TryToDoItWrite In that having the decent into madness is hard to write, so it might be good to look at UMD for inspiration or an example of that descent into madness (though there is a healthy dose of the supernatural as well). Ignore the reviews and take a peek with an open mind.

@LittleBear @TryToDoItWrite I really appreciate the feedback greatly!!!! I'll definitely check out the book it sounds quite fascinating! Thanks for the good luck wishes as well, this has always been an interesting project of mine that I always thought would be quite difficult and honestly I'm quite terrible at writing filler, but like any future excerpts of the story will definitely be shared here! Also I'm completely new to this site but just a heads up because I don't actually know if they're accessible from the universe itself but at least 7 characters (at least at the time of writing this) are up to look at as well, but again thank you both very much!!

@LittleBear group

I took a look at some of the character and I just have a few things, I doubt that the exact weight of characters will ever come up organically, but I had some kind of nitpicky things:

  • Chad, 149 lbs is REALLY small for a college aged male. For reference I am a skinny 5'3" female and 120 lbs. Most college age guys are at least 180 especially for that height and how frat guys eat. Also its good to have "Chad"-y characters, but make sure that you stick to your guns when writing about him. And if you are making him your villain then all of the best ones have some redeeming characteristics - single sided villains can get tedious.
  • Clara, with weight I feel that she needs to be a bit heavier to be curvy, 12 lbs is not a lot and people who are 5'6" and super fit are easily heavier than 132 lbs.

@Sneeblesnorb

@LittleBear @Kazood I do definitely think Chad isn't my best work, revision is definitely needed and all in all he was made kind of in the moment, not made to be the main villain though I want to put that out there. And thanks for the weight checks I will research more thoroughly. If any questions needed to be answered about it please ask I will try to answer!!! Thanks for more feedback!
