I'm usually an extremely patient person, but I've been waiting since June 8th for someone to thoroughly criticize (as much as they can) my character, Oliver Jackson; I shared him in another thread where someone offered to critique peoples characters, and have been waiting since June 8th! Is there anyone willing to take a shot at him?
Wow!! From what I just read, he's got some serious potential… One thing I am confused about is the five jobs he seems to have at the same time. CEO and Crime lord I understand… the Mayor thing seems like a conflict of interests with him having his own business but admittedly I know nothing about politics so feel free to ignore that critique. It's really the stock boy and the cashier that’s throwing me here. Are you just listing previous jobs with those two or does he currently have those positions as well as being Mayor and CEO?
Stock boy and cashier are indeed previous jobs.
Ok. That makes a lot more sense.
Other than that I’m curious about what his motivation is. Why did he decide to become a Villain?
How he came about is kinda interesting….
My 3rd grade teacher (fuck, that's a long time ago) gave us an assignment where we were able to create our own superhero. Me, being a rebellious little kid, decided to actually make a supervillain instead. At that point all I had were his powers and his alias; I only just thought of his secret identity this year!
So you don’t really have a character backstory for him yet. That’s ok. For being made in third grade he’s pretty solid but still has room to grow.
Right now he's for rping. I got portions of his backstory worked out (or at least somewhere in my head), but haven't really done much for that yet.
Dude!!!! I just spent an hour and a half reading this thing!!! It is freaking amazing!! Aside from the revenge against Stephen/Eight, I am really starting to like Vortex.
Honestly, though; reading something written in a ”villain’s” perspective makes my head spin.
Yes!!! He’s such a sweet boi.
Aaaaaand then there's Oliver/Vortex, the vindictive, murderous, skilled actor asshat that you just can't help but love! Lol
Very true. That describes him perfectly.
The Flame (Future secret identity of Jason Flayme [from Rising Flame]): He has pyrokinetic abilities, can throw flames outward from his body, control/warp/shape fire into how he wants it.
Vortex (Oliver Jackson): He acts like a black hole, sucking anything and everything that gets in his way into his body.
Serpent: Has the ability to paralyze people with a single touch. By biting his opponent(s), he can deliver a neurotoxin that will slowly kill. By piercing skin with his nails, he delivers an acidic venom. He can move his body at ease like a serpent, hence the name.
Detox (Selena Levine): She wants to be good, but evil is all that she knows. She can take the natural poisons from a person's body, and turn them against the owner.
Amazing team up!
I know Flame-Brain is a hero but the rest of them could cause some major chaos.
Flame: hero (obviously)
Vortex: villain (duh)
Serpent: anti-hero
Detox: anti-villain
Im thinking about starting a Power Play reboot of sorts on here that involves them!
So, I made the page,
but still have work to do with it.
It ok if I decide to stalk if I don't join?
