Agnes looked over at her "don't touch I don't like people touching"
Agnes looked over at her "don't touch I don't like people touching"
"I said I wouldn't, and I haven't."
Angie looks at a painting on the wall, curious. There was a man and a woman who shared features with Agnes.
"Your parents?"
Agnes looked over at the picture and nodded "yes my parents that's them."
"Do they not live with you?"
"No they don't." Agnes paused before going into the kitchen and grabbing a kettle off the stove (I have no idea if stoves we a thing yet)
(Wood fueled iron furnaces, yes. You'd place a kettle or pot on top of a fire pit to make stew or soup or coffee, though)
"Are they dead?" she asks, following Agnes.
(Oop)
Agnes fell silent for a moment and nodded her head "yes they are."
Angie pauses.
"I'm sorry. I understand a little, though. My mother died giving birth to me. My father was left to raise me alone."
She gestures to her pants and tunic. "Not only am I learning to be a proper lady, I am learning combat, finances, math, english. Although, a proper lady is not what I will ever be."
" it's fine, not sure why you're apologizing. " She turned around an set the tea down before grabbing two cups
"It's a way of empathizing."
"Oh…..why?"
The question gives Angie pause.
"Why what?"
"You didn't know them."
Angie tilts her head.
"I can still be empathetic, can't I?"
"…I suppose but I don't see the point in it."
Angie shrugs.
"There is a point."
"I don't see it."
Angie chuckles.
"Neither do I, honestly."
"Your very confusing. "
"I know, I get that a lot."
"Well you should. "
Angie titters.
"I know."
Agnes poured the tea into the cups pointed to the cup with more in it "yours."
Angie nods her thanks and immediately drains her still near boiling tea without seemingly any affect.
Agnes looked at her seeming annoying before moving away
Angie smiles politely.
"Anyways, who are you?"
"Meaning what exactly? I told you my name "
"I mean, who are you as a person?"
"Well i- im not sure."
"How can you not be sure?"
