(Heyo)
(Heyo)
(hi i just got back from canoeing and im exhhausted but still here!)
(Aha, okay I’ve only just woken up)
(its almost dinner time for me and i have to go out soon lmao but i'll try and stay soon.)
"Yeah, maybe it was nothing. But I doubt it." Ivory commented, looking out the side window half-heartedly. This was bad, very bad, if the anxiety attacks got any worse she wouldn't be able to compete and maybe even surf. Maybe it was just a one-time thing?
(Okay)
“Hey, you okay?” He asked, looking over slightly, “What’s wrong?”
"I-It's nothing important." She started. "Just..medication…not working." Ivory mumbled quietly.
(heyo)
“That is important, Ivory,” He sighed, “We can ask the hospital about it, we’re here now.” He pulled into the car park, finding it hard to find a space but eventually securing one near the entrance, luckily. Aidan led Ivory through the halls, knowing where to go as this was the place he went too for his own medical needs. He knocked on the door to the doctors door, “Dr Grey? You in there?” A shuffling of papers and the door opened, showing a short man, with a grey beard and glasses.
“Ah, Aidan and friend, come in.
"Thank you," Ivory nodded politely before walking into the office "Ivory Aveline." She held her hand out politely for him to shake.
He took it, “Pleasure to meet you. Now, what seems to be the problem today?” He looked at Aidan as if asking if it was him he need to treat but he shook his head very subtly and Grey nodded with the same subtlness. “Ivory, what happened to you now?” He gestured to the bed and for her to take a seat. He sat at the computer and Aidan lent up against the door frame.
"Well," She started "I'm gonna compete soon, so I thought I could catch a few waves for practice like I usually do." She sighed and glanced at the wall. "I'm on Xanax for anxiety and it makes me spacey, which I don't like. I'm on other stuff too but I didn't take some today because I don't need them." She nodded and stared at her hands.
"I don't need them," Ivory repeated.
Grey sighed, “Clearly you do need them otherwise you wouldn’t be here,” he made a few notes in his computer, “Now, I can prescribe you some other medication in place of the Xanax, it won’t make you as spacey but I won’t be able to get it too you for a month.”
Ivory nodded. "It would take some getting used too, but it's the only choice I have." She looked at Aiden and then back to the doctor. "Thank you." She said, standing up.
“No problem, I’m sorry but I just need to talk to Aidan privately for a few moments if that is alright?” He asked Ivory.
"Of course," She nodded. "I'll be in the car." Ivory walked out and closed the door behind her.
Grey sighed, “How many of your tablets have you taken this week?”
“Two, everyday like you said, one at breakfast and one at dinner.” He replied.
“And the pain?”
“Still bad, but it will always be bad after what they did to me, the tablets help, though.” He went to open the door and leave but Grey grabbed his wrist to ask him look at him, “I don’t ever want you overdosing again, got it?” Aidan nodded.
"Hey." Ivory greeted him as he approached the car. "Is everything fine?"
“Yeah, everything’s fine, why wouldn’t it be?” He tried his best a smile before he got in the car.
Ivory chuckled. "Well, usually when doctors ask to speak in private, it's bad news."
He laughed a little, “It wasn’t anything bad, promise,” He started the car, “So, where are you living? I can drop you back or you can come back to mine or a bit…if you want to that is?”
"I don't live too far from the beach." Ivory nodded "But, yeah, let's see your place." She smiled and tapped on the dashboard to the beat of the song.
“Okay.” He pulled out of the car park, and went down the backstreets, avoiding the roadworks. His house wasn’t far from the hospital, and was in quite a nice area. A school and small shopping centre were just down the main roads, along with a public oval. Aidan pulled into the driveway of a single story house, “It’s not much but it’s home.”
"Cute." Ivory commented, thinking about how her best friend had been living in the same town for who knows how long.
"Do you live with anyone?" She blurted out, regretting the words immediately.
(sorry if im taking so long, im painting)
“No, I don’t. It’s just me.” He said, opening the door for her.
