20,000 Leagues Under the Sea has been one of my favourite books for a long time, and I’m currently rereading it, so I thought it would be fun to do an under-the-sea sort of rp with a group of experienced roleplayers.
Our characters live (you guessed it) in a yellow submarine called the Revolver (yes, like on of the Beatles albums that Yellow Submarine is in) and are conducting a study over the course of three years underwater to observe the behaviours of underwater flora and fauna. Similar time period to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea though with a few tweaks, this isn’t going to be completely historically (or scientifically) accurate, more loosely so, just sort of go with the feel of the time period and you should be fine. We’ll start about a month or two into the project, after everyone has gotten to know each other and has spent time underwater.
A note: Women were not probably not allowed scientific jobs such as these back then, let’s just ignore that and pretend that the extreme sexism didn’t extend to these specific occupations for the sake of the rp, though it would have been harder for a woman to get the job
A second note: Watching a documentary show like the Blue Planet is probably going to give me a good deal of my inspiration for their different projects and expeditions (holy shite there’s so much in the oceans). If you have any ideas, let me know!

Shipping is allowed, but let’s not pre-determine anything, only start to work out crush stuff after page 7 so it isn’t sudden

Please don’t make up a character for this, use a relatively developed one
