Lupus slipped into the cave after Sofie, blinking in the dim light. His pupils dilated quite a bit to let in as much light as possible.

Adolfa silently followed Lupus and Sofie. She was exhausted, so she let them take the lead.
“Wow… Adolfa and Lupus, isn’t it beautiful?”
"Yeah…" Lupus took in his surroundings, focusing on the crystals. They were so brightly colored that they seemed to glow in the dark.
Adolfa dipped her head down, both in a nod and to examine a crystal under her.
Most of the crystals glowed an eerie pink, blue, or green. Some yellows and other colors were there too, they just weren’t in the foreground. Streams trickled everywhere and some parts of the cave could only be reached by swimming. I continued forward only to stop and listen. There was the sound of water everywhere: dripping and rushing throughout the cave. But something else was making noise besides our loud footsteps and breathing or swish of fur. Something was… breathing?
Something else is breathing? No, it’s just one of us. One of us breathes… really loudly and slowly…
"What's that sound?" Lupus's voice echoed through the cave.
“Shhhhh…. I thought that was you. Adolfa, are you sick or is there s-something else here?” I shivered at the thought. I looked up and spotted some huge white crystals that pulsed. They were dull yet still shone a little. What are those? I slid forward and reached out a paw to touch one, only to realize it wasn’t a crystal. It was a huge feather. When I looked up there were more white feathers. Uh-oh… What’s in between? I touched above the feather expecting to feel nothing. My paw brushed against black feathers that were silky and soft. What the…?
"Hmm?" Adolfa looked up, "I might have caught something. Why?"
"What's that, Sofie?" Lupus whispered, walking up beside her quietly.
Instead of an answer I gave a startled squeak. I turned to Adolfa and whispered, “It’s not you.” I turned my head back to the feathers, realizing my paw was still there. I pulled it away quickly.
"What's wrong, Sofie?" Adolfa asked, confused.
(Byrd is also in this scene so we’ll just pretend she says stuff even though she hasn’t replied lately… )
“It’s uh just… hehe, there’s some giant feathers here… No worries, we’ll all just panic queitly…”
"Um, h-how does one panic quietly?"
“By screaming in your head and retreating.” I started to walk back towards the hole, but a loud shuffle stopped me. The giant feather started to move. “Too late.”
"Sofie, what's happening?" Adlofa took a small step back into a fighting stance.
(what about mythical creatures?)
Lupus whimpered quietly and stepped back, unsure what to make of their large foe.
(?)
(If ur asking if u can be a mythical creature then yes)
“I think that’s the big bird we saw earlier… Uh-oh it is. LET’S GO!” My roar echoed around the cave loudly awakening the bird further. It screeched in annoyance. The caw from the bird sounded more like thunder than a bird call. A few stalagtites fell from the ceiling and stalagmites crumbled.
Lupus's claws skittered across the cave floor in his haste to get away. He fell over, but quickly pulled himself to his paws and tried to catch up with the others.
A large stalagtite fell and blocked the entrance to the cave. Right at the same moment I had a thought. How did the bird get in here? It’s HUGE there must be another way out.
